Those traits are all subtle enough that you'd generally have a hard time noticing, unless they're super pronounced. It is not as hard as a lot of people seem to think for trans people to look close enough to their preferred gender that almost no one notices they aren't cis. It really depends on the person though.
A transgender individual died because of rejection from her own parents and we're discussing getting dicked by a trans woman?
I would have to say that for me, the genitals are only part of the equation. Do I find it appealing to watch a guy getting himself off? No, it's too masculine for myself. The porn actor Buck Angel does nothing for me, even though he has a vagina. And yet my porn folder shows that I have absolutely no problem with solo play of a woman who happens to have a penis. I suppose there is the safety factor of it being strictly visual and no actual contact with the person. In a real life situation if I was going out with a woman who told me she was transgender, I'm not sure what I would do. Wouldn't be outright denial or acceptance, but I would have to think long and hard about my answer.
And honestly, some of that would have to be thinking how my family would react to it. Nothing on the level of stress a gay or trans person has to deal with coming out to their family, but the fear would still be there that they would treat me like a freak for wanting to be with somebody like that.
yeah guys, quit dicking around.
no but seriously, this has been an interesting discussion (as they usually are when we discuss transgendered stuff) and it is somewhat related to Leelah's death. It touches on the sort of things Leelah would have had to deal with, etc. So I think it fits. This will likely eventually become our "transgender" thread, the same way Anita's videos formed the Feminism thread. So while this is clearly a sub-topic discussion, I'm not going to stop it at this point.
If this were me, I wouldn't treat it like it was my family's business. I've had a good number of boyfriends in the past, and none of them particularly need to share their entire life story with my family, nor do they owe it to them. Obviously if I were dating a trans man and he wanted to share that with my family that'd be on him and I wouldn't stop him from it, but if my family started to ask me or talk to me about sex, I'd tell them to shut the fuck up and mind their own business, basically the same as I would if they'd ever started talking to me about sex.
The only one who got moderated was the one who dropped every ethnic slur lol
I was just skimming really. Interesting thoughts from everyone and it always will continue to make me laugh when people try to argue issues like this, politics, and religion. Motherfuckers should instead argue at a brick wall.
As I said, I stand behind the modding action taken in this thread. If you don't like it, complain to me in PMs if you really think you need to. Or in that thread announcing my modding, if you think it should be public.
This thread, however, is not the place for it.
