There is another report on the Lunchables saying that they contain 300-400mg more sodium than what is sold in stores.

They'll counter saying it's within 2A to find a way to make sure kids are getting their lead one way or another

ideally zero, all these gnarly metals, petrochemicals, combustion products, polymers, synthetics, nanoparticles etc

also truly impossible in today's world. we're all just 'tarded (or tumored) out a lil bit. or a lotta bit

For adult pregnant women the FDA recommendation is to stay below 12.5 micrograms a day, which keeps the blood lead level below 0.5 micrograms/dL, which is below the level of adverse effects.

The California lead limit is 0.5 micrograms per day, more than 90% more restrictive than the FDA's.

Even in children who are a quarter the size you shouldn't expect anything near adverse effects from foods under the California limit, even if eaten daily.

0.5 micrograms is asymptotic with zero. let's hope all lunchables are that trace

1-2% of the effective dosage of fentanyl. numbers indeed

You're more likely to get cadmium poisoning from literally everything else unless concentrations are about 11-12ug consistently. Breathing it in is actually more toxic. Your kidneys aren't great at clearing it so avoiding large amounts is pretty ideal.

There's more cadmium in a shot of espresso than there is in lunchables.

BATON ROUGE, La. — Louisiana has become the first state to require that the Ten Commandments be displayed in every public school classroom under a bill Republican Gov. Jeff Landry signed into law Wednesday.

The GOP-drafted legislation mandates that a poster-size display of the Ten Commandments in a “large, easily readable font” be in all public classrooms, from kindergarten to state-funded universities. Although the bill did not receive final approval from Landry, the time for gubernatorial action — to sign or veto it — has lapsed.

(is not technically in the Constitution and you know this Supreme Court wouldn't uphold it).

Get ready for a fast slide towards theocracy in the bible belt

All Oklahoma schools are required to incorporate the Bible and the Ten Commandments in their curriculums, effective immediately, the state’s chief education officer announced in a memorandum Thursday.

At a State Board of Education meeting, Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters said the Bible is “one of the most foundational documents used for the Constitution and the birth of our country.”

“It’s crystal clear to us that in the Oklahoma academic standards under Title 70 on multiple occasions, the Bible is a necessary historical document to teach our kids about the history of this country, to have a complete understanding of Western civilization, to have an understanding of the basis of our legal system,” Walters said.

Every classroom in the state from grades 5 through 12 must have a Bible and all teachers must teach from the Bible in the classroom, Walters said.

This is Walters way of throwing a fucking toddler level fit after getting smacked down 2 days ago.

He tried to use public funds for a religious charter school that teaches a religious curriculum. Oklahoma's own AG sued, claiming it was a fast track to implementing sharia law into schools. AG was convincing enough to get even the Oklahoma Supreme Court to slap down the charter school funding and it wasn't particularly close.

Ryan Walters is a bitch and this is his tantrum. It's not one he will win.

I am less optimistic about it. Freedom of religion is well supported even in the originalist view, but separation of church and state could go either way. It is a principle that Jefferson laid out in some private letters and isn't part of any official founding documents.

With this court, who the fuck knows. Replace one more D with an R and southern kids will probably be going to confessionals once a week in public schools.

My guess is any decision on this stuff is going to be 5:4 and probably in a direction I hate.

Didn't something almost exactly like this already happen and ended with a "The Ten Commandments used to be displayed here" sign?
