The management of K-12 and higher education is being transferred to the Department of Labor to shift the focus of education towards empowering the workforce.
It's going to take decades to restaff these departments.
"By empowering the workforce you mean supporting unions, right? RIIIIGHT?!"
When are they changing the name of the department to the Department of Child Labour?
Put down that vidya game and pick up a hoe!
Why not both?

Mikko Rantanen with another 5 + game for another egregious boarding *checks notes* 2 games after his last 5 + game.
Weird.
No, I think this is the right thread under Trump.
In 2022, the veto proof Kentucky legislature passed a bill funneling public funds to charter schools.
A lower court struck it down on constitutional issues.
Kentucky legislature put a constitutional change to the voters, hoping for an easy W, who SOUNDLY rejected funneling public funds to charter schools, as over half the counties don't even have a certified private school.
Legislature got pissy and went to the Kentucky Supreme Court. Those justices are elected officials.
Today, the KY Supreme Court ruled, UNANIMOUSLY, charter schools are unconstitutional.
Continue to be the weirdest red state ever. I think our politics (outside of red hot wedge issues) essentially boil down to "let me work, tax fairly, and then leave me the fuck alone".
If a veto proof majority is voting for shit people obviously don't want and fighting them on it when it gets rejected, the voters should rethink continuing to allow that majority to exist.

Well, voting for a dumocrat is impossible so no I guess they'll just keep electing contrarian judges and sliding by on hope and prayers (on some issues, while probably getting fucked on others)
Honestly I'm convinced when people say the courts will step in they mean state level courts... Kansas has been the same except bad faith shit bags keep trying to to push policy nobody wants.
School vouchers meant for private education is actually being spent on lucrative goods and resort vacations that fall under the "other educational expenses" clause. The vouchers are for $2k and in Arizona alone, $654M has been auto-approved without confirming what it would be spent on.
Welp, better gut the dept of ed.
