Just caught up on this season and was disappointed to an extent, but still enjoyed it enough. The only complaint I have is that I have really liked this show for how realistic the violence is, but this season it really went downhill. Between the 1-shot-1-kill gun fights, to the stupidly ridiculous Burton/Nola fight, I really don't like how they've changed in this respect. I mean seriously, look at the fight in season 1 episode 3 between Hood and Damien Sanchez (the ultimate fighter champion) and compare it to what we have now. Burton can take a fucking axe to the upper right of his chest, just below his shoulder, and still have FULL functionality of his arm? Fuck off.

All that said, I'm still hooked so the story has to get pretty terrible before I finally give up on the show, and so far it has been entertaining enough for me to binge

I was thinking the same. I don't think Banshee is a show that should be ~7+ seasons long. You can only go around punching people in the face and blowing up entire towns while pretending to be someone else for so long before it just gets silly.

We have gotten glorious tits, amazing action, Glasses Van Damme going ham, and now we get Eliza Dushku. Honestly, there's not much they could do in season 4 that will make this show anything but a 10/10 for me.

funny you mention that since Dexter is exactly what came to mind when I thought of shows that stretched on for too long. It's hard to have true climaxes in "the main character has a BIG secret" shows after the big secret is finally revealed.
