Yeah but if a girl says she isn't having it then she'll just get raped anyway.
If she clearly communicates who she is and what she's about then she'll just get raped a bit later.
Basically, if a guy is asking a girl to have sex then she will be raped.
Welcome to liberal.
I was actually raped last weekend because I had sex while drunk and if I'm drunk I can't give consent.
I think this depends on what you consider a case. Overall I'd say there is a big difference to the cases that actually go thru the police and go to trial than say the ones that pushed the whole California university yes means yes thing. Or for that matter just from the kinds of cases that have pushed for colleges to bypass the legal process and meat out punishment themselves in the first place
Really doubt the people writing about frat parties have ever gone to them often at all. It isn't some term for a dungeon rape fest where every human interaction could mean the last of your anal virginity
If a girl who isn't completely inebriated can't communicate well enough to a guy who isn't completely inebriated and willing+about to violently rape her then I can predict with 100% certainty she isn't going to be working in high stakes negotiating positions later in her life
That's not that difficult a concept. Not everyone is a winner, not everyone gets an award
There's nothing worse than Blubb staggering in to try to spike Thunder's volleyball. It's just about the worst display BG has on offer, and that's saying a lot.
libbin super hard right now
I interpreted that sentence more like "look, this ancient people understood the basics of the human experience better than the infantile morons of today." Of course human behavior when seeking sex is irrational. And yeah, it can be a bit risky for a variety of reasons (not all necessarily wrong/bad).
I did not mean reported cases. To me, if someone says they don't want it or try to physically resist, and are forced into it anyway that's rape. I don't consider drunk guilt to be rape unless it's like a date rape drug situation or something similar.
Your definition might be different than mine.
Can't read the same things with everyone having a different definition of rape. We all know (or should) what that meant. And we all know what rape means today
Obviously a secluded girl isn't going to be able to reliably talk her way out of a much bigger and stronger person violently attacking them
But most 'rape' (the type that happens to 1/4 college girls - thanks obama) at frat parties isn't like that sooo we're going back to the coerced, lied to, tipsy, guilty sex stuff. Which, yeah, clear as day. If that girl wasn't honest with her wants/desires and/or was unable to assert herself as a person it's very obvious she's not going to go into high stakes-anything
"Who you are at 19 is who you are at 38 and 57“
This is a nonsense argument, and furthermore the only reason to make it is to further devalue rape victims. It's completely disgusting.
Welcome to the feminism thread I guess.
Actually, feminism did that all on its own by turning everything into rape
so now when we talk about rape we're talking about 1/4 women
I'd be more than happy to agree that my previous statements would have no merit if we actually took rape seriously; but rape is no longer exclusive to the violent physical overpowering and unwillful penetration of a person... so, welcome to the feminism thread indeed
