Hopefully, it'll get dealt with. Their movements have gone largely unnoticed by the majority of the free world, and now that it's taking notice and it's almost completely out of the hands of the Nigerian government, it'll be time to step in and wrap them up once and for all.

after some light googling it doesn't seem like they have any clear demands/wants. They just destroy and fuck up whatever the hell because fuck you that's why.

and for what it's worth: http://abcnews.go.com/International/...haram-28241517
their raison d'etre is the establishment of a new Islamic state in northern Nigeria (which is majority Muslim and much poorer than the majority Christian south), they will not negotiate in good faith with a government they see as illegitimate (it is), immoral (it is), and infidel (the current president is indeed a Christian).

the depth of division is further accentuated by the lack of a singular Nigerian ethnolinguistic identity. the northern regions are dominated by the Hausa and Fulani groupings, overwhelmingly Muslim (they had their own off-brand Caliphate back in the day), while the Christian Igbos rule the south, and the theologically confused Fula hold sway over the western regions. these groups make up roughly three quarters of the country, with the remaining quarter primarily smattered across the middle belt of Nigeria, and trending towards Christianity (the president Goodluck Jonathan comes from one of these minor Christian tribes).

add it all up and you have a swirling mix of corrosive religious and ethnic strife with a sanguinary history of civil war and military juntas that lends itself to vendetta.

    so, you know,

Boko Haram Appears to Be Using Abducted Girls as Suicide Bombers: Experts

It is not clear if the girls were coerced or were even aware they were strapped with explosives, which may have been detonated remotely. But experts say that Boko Haram appears to be using the children it kidnaps — such as the 276 Chibok girls who sparked the #BringBackOurGirls social media campaign — and using them as a readily available supply of suicide bombers.

Ah, what a time to be alive. Boots on the ground in the Middle-East, and soon (hopefully), boots on the ground in Nigeria.

Can't wait for some action. It's time to fight back.
