I was doing this but after enough tries I beat it lol. Here's my strategy:
Felicia had duplicate and bowbreaker. Her and Elise BFFed it up at the right where there were a lot of bow people, blocking the ramp and killing shit. They both had speed/hp/def items. On the left Silas went solo with HP/Def/Speed stuff, got the house, would javalin across the rocks, etc. No real issues with either of them.
On the left magic cannon I had nyx who stayed there until the last few turns. On the south I had Odin teamed up with Niles on the ballista. Effie was a mother fucking boss on the bottom right hole with hp/def/str/speed items. Niles also held speed/skill/hp/def items. Skill went to camilla when she showed up, others went to Baruka (who teamed up with Selena). Camilla covered the right sky, with random freeze support by Elise if shit started to get real. When the water went away I withdrew Silas to the hole above the house but under the magic ballista. Beruka hung around in the area too. Niles also got off the ballista by this point and was shooting birds down. Main character had shuriken/lance breaker to the left of ballista. Felicia clone also went there to help, MC had hp/speed/def boosting items too, and was paired with Aurthur. Azura hung around for extra songs on whoever was around.
Im sure by now everyones already done with this level, but maybe itll help someone out. Starting out with +5hp/+2speed/+2def is fairly noticable. Food helped too (I managed to get a +2 def/+1 speed on some key people).
Edit: Anyone have a Camilla with Air Superiority? Why is this so hard to find. All the Camilla I find have like the same 5 skills on them wtf.
Does anyone know if relationship builds faster if you pair units up over just having them fight next to each other? Both actions result in hearts popping up over my units so I know relationships are possible between units in question.
It's the same as far as building support goes. Only difference is paired units don't both fight but you get boosted stats for the unit in the lead. And the supporting unit can block attacks occasionally. If you want to specifically build support for two units, it's easier to just pair them up so you don't have to worry about making sure they're always next to each other.
So, I haven't done this because I don't want extra units but if I buy an Einherjar from someone and its a unit I already have, does the unit I have share the same skills as the Einherjar or no?
No.
When you're doing a battle at someone's castle and win with no handicap, you get to either:
1. Buy a skill off of one of their characters for 1/2 price
- After doing this, the character is added to your log book.
- You can still recruit the character (likely for a shitton of gold) from your log book
- You can also learn the rest of the skills from the log book entry (at full cost)
or 2. Recruit the character as an einherjar character
- Exact same stuff as above: Character is added to log book, if you delete it you can re-buy it for full price, and you can also learn skills from it at full price
Then there's the einherjar shop where you just buy characters.
Einherjar characters are just... extra units. They don't have supports, they get a little shield icon, and their portrait is kinda... "ghostly"? Pretty worthless for the most part. (Unless you want an army of Midori's producing gold bars, but the gold dlc is infinitely better. You could also recruit a capped character to help you clear the story, but that's kinda... what's the point? lol, but it's an option if you really need it.)
I knew all that. I just haven't bought a Einherjar and didn't know. Was just curious if there was an easier way to get skills for people other than 1 at a time. Though. Everyone on my roster has aptitude now so that's nice.
Prices are starting to drop on Amazon. Seeing a few listings for "Used" copies of the special edition fall around to 100 bucks.
Went ahead and folded and grabbed Birthright. Married FemCorrin off to Jakob which I regretted because their conversations didnt seem natural, but oh well - he's pretty boss. Most of my team is lvl 10-ish around Chapter 9 and even on Lunatic it feels very easy compared to Awakening. Am I in for disruption shortly?
What is the effect of the higher difficulty levels? More/higher level enemies?
I've been playing on hard but might switch to lunatic for Conquest, just depends if the frustration trade-off is worth it.
More enemies, enemies are stronger, and have more/better skills. I think Lunatic also reduces EXP gained but I can't remember.
I think there are other things to make chapters harder -- the one that comes to mind is Chapter Ten where Takumi clears the water on turn six I think on Lunatic.
Finally beat Conquest Chapter 23! Been stuck on that level for like five days. Finally said fuck the bridge and went around those enemies >.>;
Have fun with 27/28.
last chapter in Birthright had very FF-like music to me. thought it was funny that Hex worked on the boss, which is very not FF-like
Finally beat Conquest, so onto Birthright! Does anyone know if there's a way to visit your own castle to get abilities?
Can't recruit amiibo units. Can recruit units with dlc skills but can't learn them on your own units this way.
Here's my castle address in case anyone wants to visit it.

I have it set up to just walk up and seize for skills. Birthright atm so probably not useful for most people in this thread.
