The truth is, if Peyton wasn't the Manchurian quarterback and treated the way he's treated by the media, he wouldn't be thought of as one of the greatest at all. Why he's ever been in the GOAT discussion is as perplexing as his Superbowl MVP award. Apparently all Andy Dalton needs to do is put up better numbers during the regular season, and he can be announced as "arguably the greatest quarterback to ever play the game" 50 times a day, on every ESPN and NFL Network segment, and during every single game.

It's really just fucking mind boggling.

I wouldn't have the problem with Peyton that I have if the media wasn't always so dead set on manufacturing `the Greatest` OFF THE FUCKING FOOTBALL FIELD.

He's a complete media creation.

The way all the networks treat him isn't any different than North Korea telling its people that Kim Jong Ill rides unicorns to work.

Even after his latest epic playoff melt down, every show I saw started off by saying "We have to be respectful here," or "We still have to consider him one of the greatest, if not the greatest of all time, but..."

I just don't understand it. WTF are these people afraid of? Does Archie Manning have their wives held hostage or something?

Truth be told, this actually interests me a lot more than Manning's redundant playoff performances which now only surprise `the experts.` I would really like to know why Peyton is so special for these assholes, and why he gets over praised for his week #3 wins against whothefuckcares, and treated with kid gloves when he does his annual post season WTF

I always thought his lack of playoff success followed him around like a forehead sized asterisk. Most people I think see him as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, regular season QB but have trouble giving him one of the top QB of all time status because of the many, many playoff failures.

He's pretty clearly the greatest regular season QB of all time - he has the W/L record, counting stats, rate stats (if you ignore Aaron Rodgers) and MVPs to prove it.
