Asus Router comparison's
I'm looking at ditching my comcast issued wifi/router for my own cable modem and an asus router. Trying to decide which of these two to get between the Asus RT-AC68U vs the Asus RT-N66R. This is for a two bedroom apartment though all devices will be in the living room.
Wired will be my PC, PS3, PS4. Wireless will be our smart TV, wife's laptop, XBox One, Wii U, and IPad Air 2. Everything is N capable, and my comcast is approximately 120down 10up for speeds. I won't be doing any sort of custom firmware or anything. Any reason to spend the extra 80 dollars + tax for the AC68U?

Pens win! Pens Win!!! PENS WIN!!!!!
I *think* the main difference is the RT-AC68U has higher maximum wireless transfer rates, so if that's not a concern I don't know if the extra money would be justifiable. I have the RT-AC66U and think it's great, the one issue I have is that only my PC specifically can detect/connect to the 5GHz band. My Xbox One, phone, laptop, and family devices can never connect to that band, so they're all on the 2.4GHz band which works fine. I'm sure it's a setting I've messed up in the configuration somewhere.
