I am not a germaphobe by any means, but I avoid public restrooms at all cost. I wish I could say that those incidents are a rarity, but they are that way more often than not. Being preggo was the worst because I had to use them since I had to pee like every ten minutes.
Yet another reason I would live at Disney if I could. They got people on top of that from opening till closing.
I read this aloud to my bf (he comes in at night before bed and checks on me when he's brushing his teeth) and he just grimaced. lol But yes, I hate hovering bitches so much. PLEASE INVITE ME TO YOUR HOMES SO I CAN PEE ALL OVER YOUR BATHROOM AND WALK OUT LIKE IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM! PLEASE!!!
I've pretty much been able to deal with public toilets by saying something similar to what Ksandra said about dying off something caught off a toilet seat. The ones here at work are cleaned a couple of times of day so they're usually pretty clean regardless of what's happened in them.
I've heard stories from the two women I share an office with and it's way worse compared to anything I've seen in the men's toilet area.
I have seen shit in a rest stop urinal once. I was honestly kind of impressed because people are constantly entering and exiting those. The guy was either a poopninja or gave zero fucks.
i'm not 100% positive, but i think Hey passed away, via suicide.

Anyone know if hey worked on this emulator?
Crossposting this from another thread.
She tweeted me late Thursday night (Friday morning), it was a scheduled tweet saying she had killed herself and to let people know. I went to Sono and Ragns to see what we should do, they were waiting on more details before posting anything.
I have also been in touch with her mother so I can find out when the service is and hopefully send some flowers or make a donation in her name. I was absolutely wrecked the other night, couldn't stop crying, was up all night unable to sleep. I wish I had been able to do more for her, but I am taking comfort now in the fact that she is probably at peace.
From knowing hey and seeing how much she has struggled with being trans, I want to do something to help trans people (mostly teens, but of all ages) who are struggling with their identity. I don't want any more trans men and women to think that they are alone. Something has to change.
I don't know a lot really, no details or anything, just the scheduled tweet I got late the other night. I feel blessed to have known hey and for her to have come to me and confided in me, and I hope she has finally found the peace she needed.
Damnit.
Will do. Thank you.
The last string of questions someone asked her really pisses me off

yeah...
I'm sorry to hear about hey, really hoped for a better way.
Does anyone have a statistic on the percentage of MtF suicides opposed to FtM. Something about hey's passing got me really curious for some reason. I also feel like I want to learn a bit more about Transgender issues.
This doesn't deal with suicides but has some interesting demographic data, including that FtMs transition at an earlier age on average than MtFs do. I would be surprised if FtMs have a higher suicide rate than MtFs.
An estimated 41% of transgender people attempt suicide at least once in their lives. It truly is staggering.

Don't want to derail the Hey thread, so saying it here.
Part of me is wondering if Bruce Jenner doing a public interview would have been enough of a difference for Hey if she had avoided taking action for another day or two. It is kind of early now to tell if it will have any lasting effect by bringing transgender issues into national news, or if by next weekend it will all but forgotten. Can't help thinking that the timing is some of the worse it can be, especially if we are on the verge of having people talk about the issue in a more open format.
The result of the Jenner interview at least in the short term would have most likely been negative. At the very least it increases the likelihood that she would have encountered people saying awful things about trans folk
