So here’s a real life situation that happened within my circle of friends, my best friend and I whom I’ve known since high school had a childhood friend who came out as gay around 12-13ish, which is fine, we all got along well over the years and when we were all around 22 or so his childhood friend asked if he would be willing to date him. My friend said no because he was attracted to women, his childhood friend didn’t take it well and they stopped talking for awhile, come about 2 years later his childhood friend shows back up after having gender reassignment surgery and says “I’m a women now, you’ll date me now right?”. My friend again says no, because he hadn’t seen this person for nearly 2 years and honestly wasn’t attracted to them in that way. Is my friend now Transphobic for turning them down?
As far as my view goes you should be able to do with your body what ever you want and you deserve same rights as anyone else no matter your skin color or sexual orientation. If you're attracted to a trans person that's fine.
Where I have a problem is this progressive denial of biology. Desire to procreate is one of fundamental desires in any life form and it does play a role in what we do, most people want a family and children. Yes you can adopt but not everyone has the means to do so. I think saying that if you're a man and all of the sudden you become a woman you're going to have the same life as a biological female is a lie. Most men will still want a partner that is a biological female because they can have children with them.
But now you've decided that those people are biggots and need to get more woke. It's a ludicrous ideology
This was Archie's point. Wanting children is about choosing a long term life partner. That's one thing. It's separate from the discussion about sex/attraction because a large portion of sexual activity happens between people with no intent to procreate together.
Finding a woman attractive then, upon learning she is trans, and no longer being attracted to them because you think she is "really a guy" is what's considered transphobic because you are prioritizing birth sex over all the other things that made you recognize her initially as an attractive woman.
There is a distinction between biological females and persons who identify as women. That isn't in contention. What is in contention is whether it's transphobic to look at persons who identify as women as "really men" just because they have (or previously had) a penis.

I'm with Milk on the no Asians thing. Not wanting to date someone because they're of a certain race seems like learned/cultural bigotry, as opposed to just wanting to be able to pick your significant other out of a crowd, or hating math.

let it be known to all that one shall forever be a racist until you sleep with peoples of all 200 countries on this planet. it's like baskin robbins 31 flavours but with dicks.
this wokeception has been brought to you by the letter derp
The answer should be, as long as the rejection wasn't based on the perception/belief that this person was "still really a guy," then no it isn't.
The reality of the situation is that many trans individuals cannot pass easily for their self-identified gender and that will make them unattractive to many potential partners. It's not transphobic to think a trans woman is unattractive because she has masculine features.
That's why it's so important that adolescents and children who might be trans get taken seriously. Hormone suppression before puberty is key to preserving a trans individual's chances to transition in the most believable way. Think especially of children in conservative religious families.
shits hilarious, kids in this thread are literally saying you're racist if you have a preference. not surprised gred is backing that up lmao. why is this dude a mod
literally calling someone a homophobe/transphobe/racist for PREFERENCE is the greatest thing i've ever seen on BG. especially when all of the people arguing for milk's garbage logic were in agreement that the republican senator banging dudes in mexico was a homophobe. truly great
Nah it's not like that, I'm more saying it's ok to not be attracted to people of a particular race or certain racial characteristics, but it's highly likely those tastes exist because of reinforced cultural standards of who is and isn't attractive. I had to look in a tough mirror swiping through chicks on dating apps and wondering why I didn't find them attractive as compared to someone more my skin tone.

I've been called racist by a friend because I said I wasn't attracted to black people
I've also been called transphobic because trans puts me off in a weird way
god forbid you just don't want to fuck someone
bane pls no ban
I haven't said anything about race in this thread, but it's good to see D44 keeping up with the not reading thing as he accuses everyone else of not reading
Actually there was a discussion about race that I was recently involved in where I actually outright stated I personally do have disparate tastes in women based on race (particularly that I'm less likely to find black and SEA women attractive compared to white and East Asian)
But don't let that get in the way of your self inflicted oppression
