She also had to undergo 3 or 4(?) more surgeries due to some pretty shitty complications. So, something to consider if you have a born male child who wants to transition and get bottom surgery one day.

seems like its talking about surgeries specifically right, not just prosecuting someone cause their kid is trans?

It appears like anyone who has a duty to report child abuse now has a duty to report any trans child they see because that child must have had assistance in transitioning and that assistance is now considered abuse.

So yes, it is pretty much exactly as bad as all those crazy libs are saying it is.

The nature of these Republican authoritarian laws are setting up the mechanisms to divide citizens against each other and turn each other into "snitches". Parents reporting teachers for making white kids "uncomfortable" because of black history or queer people existing. People assisting someone obtain an abortion being flagged for a $10000 bounty. It's so blatant and scary to see this retrogression happening meanwhile supposed Democrats shrug and whine about their unenthusiasm because it's cooler to be jaded and disengaged than prevent foreseeable catastrophe.

I don't really know any trans people, but if kids are put on hormone blockers, is there actual damage done if they decide that's not really their identity later? My understanding it just delays puberty and doesn't cause irreversible damage?
