I thought the dramatic increase in FTM trans kids was the source of panic about this issue.

Michelle Phelps is just waiting
except that time when she literally broke a womans skull
fallon having physiology closer to that have a male didn't make her a more skilled fighter. it did make her stronger, faster, and more agile though. which at least in in combat sports can obviously be dangerous... that's the entire reason peds are illegal
as for womens basketball or whatever, who cares 'cause who cares about womens basketball
nah she sucked then too
transitioning should be discouraged no cap
the transition of your thoughts to posts should be discouraged
trans should only compete in the special olympics
They really don't, though. Lia Thomas, the NCAA swimmer everyone goes nuts about did win the 500m event at NCAA, but she didn't set any records. She was like 9s on her best behind Katie Ledecky, and if you go back to 2019, Thomas would have placed 3rd (Ledecky had graduated at this point too) so Thomas won but there simply wasn't top tier competition that year. There should be a discussion about how long you have to be on HRT to compete in sports, but once you're in a full transition, you do not have a significant advantage in any sport that freak genetics can't do better. And once you hit NCAA D1 and above levels of competition, you need some type of freak genetics to truly be top tier.
maybe i should transition so i can be tall-ish for once
Lol everyone and their mom is on the juice in all sports and shit, they just know how to hide it and if all of your athletes suddenly tested positive for tren and other cocktails you can't just ban all of them, so the ones who do get sniped are just the stupid fucks who don't know how to hide it properly.
Name five trans athletes topping the ranks of their chosen sport, now name 5 other female athletes in the same sport off the top of your head because you follow female sports 24/7.Pretty much every M2F trans athlete dominates against women.
And sports outside of highschool/low level college shit.
Yeah Nynja totally isn't transphobic.
no there doesn'tThere should be a discussion about how long you have to be on HRT to compete in sports
Sports and records and a bunch of transphobic people's feelings are irrelevant compared to literally denying personhood and identity to somebody who wants to participate
You cannot sincerely believe that trans women are women (and trans men are men) while arguing for any restriction on any activity in which there is not one otherwise. full stop
I don't know about that. At least in the topic of physical competition there has to be more nuance.

I'm not really willing to even consider having the conversation until it's a legitimate issue outside of right wing pearl clutching.
This is almost 100% exclusively coming up in school level sports where completely irrelevant competitions are being impacted.
Call me when big burly hairy men are winning women's olympic medals and setting world records. My money's on that never happening whether anything is "done" or not.
People that think it's an issue worthy of conversation at any level are at best being manipulated by a regressive right wing smear campaign, and at worst are transphobes themselves.
I dunno, my wife used to get pissed playing AAU ball against players with unfair genetic advantages
But she still thinks Karl Malone's 6'3 daughter Cheryl Ford (future 3rd overall pick in the 2003 WNBA draft and 3x WNBA champion) should have been allowed to compete.
There's a lot of grey areas (or at least maybe that's just my perception because of a lack of knowledge) but isn't the science on trans persons being more similar to their gender rather than their assigned sex at birth about brain chemistry? Like trans women's brains are more similar to biologically female XX chromosome women then to biologically male XY chromosome men?
If that's true, then it does seem that we should be able to segment physicality from the discussion. We're not differentiating treatment because they aren't women, we're differentiating treatment because they are a different category of women and those differences can have competitive implications.
In the vast majority of cases, it doesn't matter. But I think that failing to prepare for the exceptional problematic situations facilitates the right making this a bigger issue than it should be

I'm of the opinion that this can be true but completely irrelevant because it causes far more harm to the mental health and wellbeing of trans women than any theoretical good caused by some purported parity it will enforce. Which is to say, 99.999999999999% of the time, zero.we're differentiating treatment because they are a different category of women
