yes there does. you can 100% support trans persons in sports of their chosen gender identity while also acknowledging a hormonal difference between a physiological male who has not even begun ANY hormone therapy yet as opposed to someone who has done HRT for a significant amount of time. i am in no way saying that there is even a single instance of this having ever happened but a stance of "You cannot sincerely believe that trans women are women (and trans men are men) while arguing for any restriction on any activity in which there is not one otherwise." is absolutely retarded and would force trans supporters to leave the door open for such situations to potentially happen.

I think the main point is, bench that argument and requirement for far far down the road. Can nickel and dime shit later on but getting hung up on it now when it's nothing compared to everything else is pointless. Once we're at the point where trans athletes are competing just fine and DailyWire folks have all been sent to the Gulag we can fine tune that shit. most pro sports don't even really test their athletes.

the nfl, nba, nhl, and mlb all do their own in-house ped testing. which means the organizations that hire these guys can also decide who does and doesn't get popped. there is literally zero oversight

the example i was using was the ufc, which in the year 2023 does at least attempt to be somewhat transparent with their testing. going with a third party anti-doping agency like usada. it's not a perfect system, but it's more honest than most... and it needs to be because in combat sports there's a vast chasm of more liability if someone dies to someone on the sauce compared to some juiced up freak who just runs faster than everyone else in soccer

there are a whole lot of sports out there where a woman with male physiology competing against a woman with female physiology is flat out dangerous. a millennia of biology doesn't just magically disappear because of how one identifies emotionally
