2016 USA Presidential election thread I: The warm-up

I just want to know one thing from you all. With all the garbage Hillary has been through these past 8 years, why in the world would you support her? It doesn't matter what side of the fence you are on politically, she just can't be trusted. I'm not trolling, this is an honest question. I say basically the same thing about Jeb Bush, I don't trust him either, and won't vote for him, even if he was running against Obama.

I stay pretty up to date on current events and politics, and I honestly don't know what you're referring to? Benghazi and her private e-mails? I haven't heard/seen much other than news having to do with those two issues, and frankly both are way overblown.

If Hilary really did fk things up bad with Benghazi (which was never even substantiated?), it really just ended up overshadowed by how ridiculously hard the GOP tried to make it into 'the worst thing since 9/11'. Same with the private e-mails and accusations that she's some secret spy or whatever other ridiculous shit came out of that.

I'm not too crazy over Hilary either, but I don't see her being any more or less 'corrupt/surrounded by garbage' than anyone else in the field. And I'd still support her in a heartbeat over a candidate pushing the typical GOP platform of the past 10 years.

It wasn't just unsubstantiated, the Republican witch-hunt that followed finally had to conclude their report by saying that all the things she was accused of in the incident were false. No "stand down" order, no intentional deception about the protesters vs. terrorists - nothing. Here, just read the first two pages - the summary.

Benghazi was nothing, and this email thing should have been nothing, but I do have some qualms with the way she handled it. Do I think there was anything in her emails? No. However, saying that she reviewed them and determined there was nothing in the emails she deleted was still pretty arrogant.

Getting behind a populous movement is noteworthy nowadays, crazy stuff. Both her actions and words contradict everything else. Walmart Queen is for privatizing schools, who knows details on healthcare "reform" (don't check her website, it's blank), but it sure as hell isn't single-payer.

I'll literally vote for anyone that's not hillary on primary, anyone that is not a corporate/banks lapdog. I don't care about Benghazi or email scandal, big whoop, Hillary will put us back into financial collapse, and another 10 years of war if she has her way. I don't really care either if she supports gay rights or whatever, that train is coming and it will keep coming with or without the president supporting it.

On par for the course, really. I'm guessing she more so did this to control her own bid for the presidency -- rather than do some sort of townhall meeting for her bid, where she may or may not be asked a plethora of questions about her or her husband, she did a mundane video. I expected this or a Tweet, which would have been more pithy. It was a smart way to expose some of her views (gay marriage, college funding, healthcare policy, getting America back to work, supporting the industrial businesses, supporting small business) without retort as well.

The adviser said Rubio did a call with donors Monday morning where he said he was running. Rubio is scheduled to publicly announce his bid later tonight to offer a pitch supporters say only he is qualified to give: a promise to restore the American Dream, from a son of Cuban exiles who's lived it.

Dr. Ben Carson is the guy whos got my vote. I think hes the least of all evils. Yes hes [R] but hes the only guy that seems to not have his head up his ass. Aside from the dumb comment about how going to prison turns ppl gay he does truly seem like the best candidate for the job.

I cant handle 4 more years of another Bush, and Hilary already ran this country 1x in the 90's and gave us NAFTA which screwed us even more.

My parents used to love Carson (like, my mom has a bunch of his books from before he became political, made us read them, etc -- think I actually did a book report on his first book back in grade school..), but even they're out of his camp now. Some of the stuff he says is just too much..
