Trump only cares about one thing - Trump. Having legions of followers, people crying in his presence, chanting his name must be the most euphoric feeling. So he'll keep saying dumb shit and being that demagogue to keep this high going.

Jokes on 'Murica if this guy legit took the nomination. Shows how weak the GOP is and the flaws of raising an electorate on FOX. It also bodes poorly for a competitive nature in politics when one party is made up of solely insane racist fuckwads.

Even if Trump had a coronary and dropped dead tomorrow, that's months worth of political networking and public recognition that hasn't happened in favor of endless white noise to the tune of CAN'T STUMP THE TRUMP.

The GOP has been meme-bombed. Trump literally can't lose- he's been popular so long that he either wins the nod and the GOP has to either double down on him or give up 2016 entirely. If he goes indy, he sucks the air out of the Republican room and they lose anyway. If he does well after becoming the candidate, the Democrats can paint the entire party the same color as Trump is. And they'll be right.

Any of the possible results are catastrophic. At "best", Trump wins it all and the entire old power structure is destroyed, revealing Trump's base has been the core of the party all along and simply well hidden.

Trump has had 20 years to prepare for all of this. He's been talking about running for president since the 90s. This doesn't surprise me anymore. This guy came in with god knows how many years of research. He knows what to say and when to say it and god forbid if its the wrong thing he'll own up to it with no repercussion.

Jeb Bush and co. can't do this without risking their own funding.
