Legally, it means he could have been born on the moon, and he's a natural born American. It wouldn't matter if he was born in Kenya (he wasn't). Mom's American? Bam. Citizen. End of freaking conversation. I probably despise birthers even more than most on the left do... it's such a retarded hill to die on. It's so mind-bogglingly dismissable, that to cling to it validates every negative perspective the left has of your intelligence. It's frustrating in its futility, in its idiocy, and in its absolute ignoring all voices to the contrary. It casts every other thing anyone on the right does in a negative light, just because of the astonishing level of stupidity attached to it.

So far, Debbie Wasserman Schultz was unopposed for the 2016 election in the 23rd district seat, both in-party or from the republicans. That's no longer the case, she now has a democratic challenger.

Heard a report from the Trump rally in Vermont. Supposed 20,000 people showed up to a 1400 person venue, many queuing up hours ahead of time to get in to see him. The guy is really tapping into facets of conservatism that have laid dormant for a long time. Hell, he was throwing protesters who got into his rally back out without their jackets, taking pleasure in noting that it was somewhere around -10 degrees out as the reason to confiscate their jackets.

These people live over 2000 miles from the southern border but were still participating in a chant of

I and a couple of friends were sitting around talking the other night, and someone brought up a theory they read online, or somewhere, where it basically goes that Bernie Sanders will see the surge of millennial voters / young voters that Obama had back in 08. And there I was just thinking how crazy that is, sure given a novelty candidate, that would boost attendance of younger voters, but the problem is him getting the nomination. I don't think young voters are as interested in the Primary elections as they would be for a General. Am I off here?

Millennials will get over the fact that they were powerless in electing someone who holds their best interests(despite having the numbers), just as they did when they had to accept the fact that Obama wasn't the Hope(tm) or Change(tm) they believed in.

Will this cynicism boil over into outrage, possibly wide-scale protests? I would say yes, after Hillary's second term. I'll be there for them, working at the soup kitchen, uttering the words "fuck capitalism" with every scoop of mashed potatoes on their plates.
