I liked Bernie when he was the guy who got people talking about progressive social issues and kept Hillary from moving too far right of center.

I am now primarily terrified by the thought of all these hyped up Gen Y's staying home in November because anything but a sweeping victory for the Bernster will be seen as proof of a global corporate conspiracy to keep the poors/browns down so why bother.

The fact that Bernie is even coming close to Hillary speaks HUGE towards both her likability and his. She may be a more effective politician but those results definitely show he's more well-liked and wanted than mainstream outlets want you to think.

It's not a win for Bernie, however. Bernie needs a lot of ground anywhere he can get it because he's far behind in superdelegates. A draw in Iowa is a loss, even if he takes home a huge win in NH.

I mean, maybe? Depends on what his peak is. I think his ceiling is lower than what most here on Bg do. Hell, I'm note sure winning the popular by even 5-8% will be enough. I just think he had a good opportunity here to show something and if he comes away with even a close loss, it's not a good sign.

I think the worst news here is that republicans are rocking the vote. Their turnout is immense. Like, 75% more than 2008.
