?Sanders's camp says that the Iowa Democratic Party has informed the campaigns that the caucus results from 90 precincts are missing. — John Wagner
The Republican debates so far have been a chorus of Rand Paul and John Kasich answering questions as they're asked and everyone else talking about how they hate Hillary and Obama more than the other guy, so this is pretty par for the course.
I'll see your WP reporter and up you a NYT

Pete D’Alessandro from Sanders campaign says their internal numbers show them up 2.

They split the delegates. Call it a tie and move on.
How does that work? How did Bernie only get 29 delegates while Clinton got 384?

idk, but if you google "AP Delegate Count,100" it all says the same thing.
shh, democracy
It comes down to their willingness to do it really. Executive order is the ultimate carte blance, regardless of what people think to the contrary.
What I imagine would happen, in a foreign policy case, would be Sanders asking "How can we remove our troops from these places, reduce our footprint, stop supporting Israel, etc, and what are the current budgets and projects for the following agencies"
Obviously the military will be like, dawg, we can't just not be doing stuff, and certain programs would continue, and a timeline for the other stuff would be figured out.
If he didn't like the timeline, he could ignore it and make it happen faster, or he could go with it knowing that if it was under 4 years, it would get done.
Same thing for nuclear power really. There's no real way to get rid of it in 4 years, much less 8, and restricting it wouldn't do anything because we're not building new plants anyway. It fucks the country for 4-8 years because he's a fucking moron but it's the same fucking we're already taking in the ass.
superdelegates, roughly 1/6th of all Democratic delegates are composed of individuals whose votes are not tied to the results of the state caucuses and elections. they are typically governors, congresspeoples, senators, and party officials, and they may vote for whomever their little hearts desire. so far about 350 have declared for Hillary, about 15 for Bernie
their support for Barack in 2008 is largely why Hillary lost despite winning the popular vote total
Give it a day and you'll see gawker bitching about how sanders got so few super delegates.
Super Delegates are the bane of the Democratic Party.
in fairness Republicans have them too, but they only make up about 1/20th of their total delegates
When did republicans opt to split delegates? I thought they used to be winner-take-all.
I think it was Romney took forever to seal things up because Iowa always picks a stupid fringe candidate. It was part of a bunch of things they did to try seal nominations earlier for establishment candidates.
There was an interview a few months ago with the architect and they asked him if it worked and if they would avoid the primaries going crazy and he said dejectedly "Look at how Ben Carson is doing in the polls."
