Well, Cruz didn't write the article, CNN did. I'd pimp that storyline too.

I guess I should've clarified that it's out of our control.
LOL oh wow

"The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Tuesday deleted a tweet they sent accusing Illinois Democratic Rep. Tammy Duckworth, who lost both legs while on duty in Iraq, of "not standing up for our veterans."
Duckworth's campaign called the the tweet "vile" and her deputy campaign manager Matt McGrath said in a statement that the attack was "tasteless and dishonest, just like everything else to do with Mark Kirk's flailing campaign."
What worries me the most about that scenario is having some draconic bills pushed through, like banning gay marriage again for example, with no hope of getting it repealed. From the party that is constantly trying to repeal the ACA and overturn Roe v Wade, they would tell people to just accept the law and stop wasting money trying to change it. I take this from a Cruz supporter I work with, who thinks any super conservative religious thing he agrees with should not be changed and just be accepted by those who oppose it.
Then again, I can never predict his views. Very anti-government and pro privacy, but he sides with the FBI over Apple in the recent news stories. Unspoken by him, but obvious to the rest of us he works with, he only feels like this because they phone they want access to belongs to dark skinned Muslim.
yeah, i read about that tammy duckworth thing. holy fuck their stupidity is endless
It would be really hard for the Supreme Court to re-rule on gay marriage, honestly. I mean, look at Roe vs. Wade - they haven't taken a case on the core concept of basic abortion freedom since their RvW ruling. They generally take precedent pretty seriously.
I can do research on my own etc, but do you happen to know of any reasonably important rulings that were ever revisited in such a way? Just curious
"Your privacy is important to us.
Until terrorists are involved. Then we don't hold anything back" - US Government
Like seriously thats the feeling I get. Republicans are all about trying to use libertarian beliefs to depower the government but then they do shit like the US Patriot act and now the US FREEDOM act. Like we're totally gonna fucking spy on you without a warrant but its in the name of PATRIOTISM and FREEDOM against them dirty terrorists.
But in what you said thats not the worst part of a Cruz presidency. The fact is his 10%/15% tax plan would come into play. My taxes are literally going to be cut in half. You might be thinking "Thats fucking great more money for you" except for the fact that there's a lot of shit we wouldn't be able to fund. So say good fucking bye to all of this shit, adios to Tesla because they're gonna lose that $5k compensation for you to buy their stuff (And in the middle of the lowest oil prices in the last decade).
Like, I firmly believe that a Cruz presidency will set us back into the 1930s economically (Shit we're already headed that way). I honestly believe that Ted Cruz will turn the United States into fucking Kansas.
And Kansas is doing pretty fucking terrible right now.
Edit: Saw this on facebook, got a good chuckle.
Spoiler: show
Probably the most famous one is Plessy vs. Ferguson (separate but equal) from 1896 that upheld segregation in schools at the state level, which was directly overturned (by a 9-0 vote even) by Brown vs. the Board of Education (separate educational facilities are inherently unequal) in 1954.

one almost forgets a Democrat has been in charge of war policy for 7 and a half years
and the disconnect between our actual economic state and the perceived economic state is pretty overwhelming. unemployment is half what it was, wages are rising, GDP is consistently at +2%, the Fed is so confident in recovery interest rates are rising, and yet we're heading to the Great Depression. the economy is hardly in a sparkling state but there has been huge progression from the 2008 collapse and 2009 nadir.
Bernie Sanders must be putting something in the water
Congress cannot outlaw gay marriage in the wake of the SCOTUS ruling, it is legally an unconstitutional act and so there would have to be a constitutional amendment to get a ban through. in other words, it is a settled issue and gay marriage will never again be threatened in this republic no matter who is elected.
Cnn Projects Hilarry wins Mississippi (huge surprise... not)
Missed one exit poll
Hilary 89% of the African American vote to Sanders 11% (65% of voters were African American)

Sanders is winning Michigan early. This is going to be either close or within 10%.
I will, however, die laughing if Clinton flies ahead.
Trump still leads nationally with 30%, followed by Cruz at 27%, Kasich at 22% and Marco Rubio at 20%. But Trump trails his rivals in all hypothetical one-on-one match-ups: Cruz and Kasich both best Trump by 17 points (57% to 40%) and even Marco beats Trump by 13 points (56% to 43%).
So just pray that Kasich and Rubio's egos keep them in instead of uniting behind Cruz.

Oh I'm ready for Trump to be the nominee. Will be glorious.
The Guardian's tracker makes this final stretch of work enjoyable.
Looks like Hillary slayed the white vote in Mississippi as well as the black vote.
Also, most of the Michigan numbers are out of Oakland county and the surrounding areas. Rich. White. Very little reporting out of Wayne county (Detroit). Poor. Black.
Also, good guy Mitt.
31% of GOP voters are more likely to vote for Trump after Romney’s speech condemning him vs 20% are less likely (43% said it had no impact)
