    1. The fact that her polling numbers already reflect damage from months of the Republicans trying to shove the Benghazi and e-mail "scandals" down everyone's throats (remember for all of Bum's HRC's numbers are bad so she's no better than Bernie will be, her numbers were historic highs before the campaign)

    2. Socialism scares more swing state white folks than this does.

arguing over whether Bernie or Hillary is more electable in the general is like writing a treatise on why Jeb! ought be the nominee over Donald

it's over. unless she dies he is not going to be the nominee.

While I agree with this statement, weren't you the same person saying that Bernie would never win more than 1 or 2 states?

You're worried that the RNC will attack Hillary on misrepresentations of her statements?

And you support Bernie? They won't need misrepresentations to bury him.

Apparently Kasich, Trump, and Cruz have all backed down from their earlier vows to back whoever becomes the GOP Nominee.

Kasich and Cruz would support the other, but not Trump. Nor should they.

Trump will or won't-- who knows. Who cares? He's not running 3rd party, because he's cheap. He's not paying for anything with his own money so far, and he won't if he loses here, because he knows he won't win, and he's not going to blow a billion of his own cash to lose.

Its funny how he just loaned his campaign 17 million, is paying it off via donations, and has gotten $2bn in free coverage because he just calls news media and rambles about shit.

Friedrichs v. CTA deadlocked 4-4 today. If Scalia had still been alive, this ruling would definitely have gone 5-4 and gutted the ability of public employee unions to represent their workers. This underscores how important the SCOTUS appointment is and why it's important to make sure that a Democrat fills Scalia's seat.

If you claim to be a progressive/socialist and this isn't to motivate you to hold your nose for Hillary over wasting your vote writing in Bernie or voting Green Party, you must not believe in progressivism as much as you claim to.

Except our wonderful president immediately went to the middle and picked Merrick Garland, a centrist Republican. The two biggest things I keep on hearing about him (Aside from his time as a U.S. Federal Prosecutor) is that he's disliked by the NRA and in the case of SpeechNOW the D.C. District Court went further than Citizen's United and struck down Contribution limits.

This isn't progressive/socialist by any means. Hell if Merrick Garland had been nominated sooner I bet Friedrich v. CTA would've gone 5-4 against Unions. You claim to be want progressive/socialist policies but Hillary appears to be more conservative than Obama. Hillary is literally following in Sanders footsteps to try to pander to his demographic.

Oh you want $15/hr minimum? Nah, we're aiming for $12.
Single payer medicare? Nah we're going to improve the ACA.
Oh TPP? I supported it in 2012 but now I'm totes against it.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert...b_9104096.html

The Chamber president said he expected Hillary Clinton would ultimately support the TPP if she becomes the Democratic nominee for president and is elected. He argued that she has publicly opposed the deal chiefly because her main challenger, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), has also done so. “If she were to get nominated, if she were to be elected, I have a hunch that what runs in the family is you get a little practical if you ever get the job,” he said.
Nevermind history wherein she didn't speak up against the Defense of Marriage ACT (Which Sanders voted against) and then voted for the Iraq War.

She's a Neo-liberal. But she just happens to be slightly progressive in social issues when it happens to be easily winnable instead of standing up to fight for basic rights with minority groups. If you really want progress stop accepting the damn status quo and accepting hillary as invincible. If you don't challenge the system then we get the same bullshit economics wherein our government infrastructure will just keep withering away.

I really just want to post this article because its a good read.

Education doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

And neither does healthcare or national defense.

Ultimately, warships and bombers are only as good as those who build and wield them.

Throughout history, the societies we admire, the ones we seek to emulate, the ones our founders modeled the United States on, those societies advance by education, by science and technology, by increased standards of living, by increased public health, by innovation, and most especially through a sense of shared purpose and shared destiny.

The societies we despise advance by the sword.

Those who believe their civic duty extends only to warships and not to education and healthcare are fools.

Taxes are the price you pay for the service of civilization.

And it’s damned cheap, given the alternative.
This is why I won't support any Democrat/Republican candidate besides Bernie. Maybe if and when (Which admittedly seems likely) Hillary wins the nomination, she'll have to actually make a case to get my vote. I don't want half assed progress.

Not speaking about anyone specific in this thread, but I've found this kind of mentality usually among those raised in the internet age with this being the first time they're eligible to vote. Admittedly anecdotal, just a funny coincidence.

Pretty much defines what my wife is saying this election. I'm a Bernie supporter, but she's a "Bernie or Bust"-er. Even in the face of a Trump nomination, she's voting Green Party. Given how much weight this election has in who decides Scalia's seat, I'm going to support Hillary due to her being a decent candidate even if she's a flip flopping gaffe machine.

You do realize the nomination was a bluff to call the republicans on their obstructionism, right?
