"Unfortunately, the dates and venues [Clinton] has proposed don't make a whole lot of sense," Sanders spokesman Michael Briggs responded in a statement. "The idea that they want a debate in New York on a night of the NCAA finals — with Syracuse in the tournament, no less — is ludicrous. We have proposed other dates, which they have rejected. We hope we can reach agreement in the near future."

I think when you have a charged energized base willing to go "Fuck the DNC" for perceived fuckeries since the beginning (With the whole 3 debates before Iowa, delegate shenanigans, this recent shit.) and a group of people willing to ignore shit that's happened on the flipside (The recent Nevada delegate issue pointed out above) you'll see he does have a silver tongue. The real question is will he have ground to stand on. If he doesn't have a majority of delegates and a majority in the popular vote I would shocked to see super delegates throwing their vote behind Bernie. It'll be one of those situations where each super delegate will be deciding whether to vote Hillary because of the likely popular vote or vote Bernie as to help pad his numbers to not tell the Bern supporters to completely fuck off and cause a lot of distaste in them for the General to the point where they won't vote for Hillary.

Sanders has three things going for him here. His campaign has enough money to compete until the convention, most of the remaining states are favorable to him (with contests spread out enough for him to focus on gaining ground), and the Republican contest is going to go to the convention so there's less of a need to focus on the general because there's still plenty of uncertainty about who their nominee is going to be.

Only in la-la land. Though I guess the same can be said about the Democratic primary at this point.

Sure maybe not a lock for the republicans.... though I think Trump could run third party in a few states and end up sinking the entire party. He is still threatening if he is not treated well that he will.

One of my friends who is a delegate in Nevada is saying that they realized that Bernie won Nevada after all? I don't know how the system for that state works nor do I know the actual implications if he won Nevada instead of Hillary but what do you guys think?

Apparently the dispute is over Clark county. They are saying that Bernie won Clark county and that would mean he won the whole state.

Trump is cheap, and he doesn't even want to be President. He wants to win the race, but he has no interest in actually doing the work it takes to be President. I legitimately believe he'll be relieved to have this farce done. He's not going to 3rd party, because he's not an idiot and he knows that, when all the dust has settled, he still has to work with politicians, and he cannot afford to alienate the entire Republican business wing forever.

Yeah the same way Ted Cruz didn't burn everyone in the GOP and is somehow the GOP candidate. Amazing how quickly people change opinions. If the GOP wanted to be a bunch of dicks, why not be a huge dick back? Trump is set for life. He doesn't need the GOP's money or support.

How it works is that when something is given to Hillary, it's because the DNC is violating the sacred voice of the people. But if Bernie is given something, it's democracy in action.

If it's that close, it won't matter. It'll be the difference between maybe a delegate or two.

well, it probably matters to bernie. (plus, each delegate that gets switched like that closes the gap by two- if sanders gains a delegate, clinton also loses a delegate.)

People were saying it would likely end up in a net swing of 8 to 10 delegates. The state convention still has to meet, though, so none of this is locked in as far as I'm aware.

So basically Nevada is one of the states where the voting is actually kinda irrelevant in the primary process. Basically the "delegates" choose whoever they want anyway. Also I believe the delegates are just people chosen from voters at the polls on the night of the vote? (Could be wrong)

Not wrong. I could have volunteered to be one if I wanted. Anyone in the room was allowed to volunteer. However, when the day came to represent their candidates, they would have had to keep their appointments to show up and drive (or otherwise convey themselves) to the location specified which ended up being a good long way from where our polling place was. It seems that more of Bernie's delegates bothered to show up than Hilary's, which essentially boils the entire democratic primary in Nevada down to a question of which candidate has the most dedicated/least forgetful delegates - and not who got the most votes.

Ron Pauls strategy last time was to try and win credentialing positions and show up w/ supporters to gain delegates.
It's also what Cruz is doing to steal delegates from Trump.

Considering I believe they are not even bound to voting who they said (I read they can choose to change their vote, or the alternate can vote for whoever they want) calls into question why they even have a vote at all. If Bernie had lost delegates due to this there would be a ton of outrage over it.
