It's mathematically impossible for him now. Last week brought him to the cliff.

It's pretty simple. Candidates are not their party. You don't have to be anywhere near middle of the road (though it helps) to more aligned with a particular candidate even if you are less so with the party that candidate is in. Especially with the particular focus and/or ways they have of accomplishing those policies.
And then assuming you aren't horribly partisan there is just general ability to govern/sanity factor. Because if you are bad enough at governing or crazy enough it doesn't really matter what stances you take you will suck. Like I lean conservative but holy fuck does Cruz scare the shit out of me. Several others here have stated that things like clean energy are most important and Sanders being an idiot when it comes to energy could turn them off so it wouldn't be too crazy to think if that was the most important as long as the rest isn't too bad they might go that route. And then there are the fairly close to center candidates....
Then you just have to assume that in the board voting base of the U.S. there are at least a few people that think that way and bam you got people that switch
Wow... CNN just did some projections of how states may play out and Trump actually seems he could pull this off before the convention. It basically all comes down to Cali though. About half of the uncommited from PA have stated they would either support Trump, or whoever won their district (who is Trump)
Still comes down to Indiana. In fact, starting tomorrow you will start to hear about Indiana ALOT more. If he takes Indiana, he can slack off in California and still win (reaching 1,237 delegates needed). If he loses in Indiana, he'll have to do exceptionally well in California to not take it to a contested convention (something like 69~75%). If it does to the convention, it'll be by the difference of 10~30 delegates that he's going to have going in. Either way, he had a big win tonight that effectively changed the map.
With that said, Indiana may be too late for Cruz and #NeverTrump before it even does it's general primary.
"Why is my life filled with so many bad decisions?"

Sanders finally began to pivot away from the nomination. Hopefully Clinton and Sanders can Unify in the next couple months.

After tonight, Trump only needs around 50%~ of the remaining delegates. Start preparing.... Indiana is make or break basically. Even if he loses it and does well in CA I think he can pull enough uncommitted to be nominated going into the convention.
Fuck, really wanted Bernie to win. That blows :/
Well I was close. Clinton ended up 5.2 points above sanders in CT. The biggest news of the night is Trump seems to be very well on his way to the nomination despite Cruz, Kasich and the GOP. This Election is going to be remembered for a long time, as the year the GOP got Hijacked.
Yeah, this highjacking is going to be pretty special.
Also I'll go ahead and assume Bernie and Hillary are going to make up. Has anyone been looking into how much of the #Nevertrump support will head to Hillary.
Bernie had a great run, and it's not surprising to see him start backing off a bit after yesterday. It's disappointing to see your guy lose, but it's starting to be time to look to the general election. I'm just hoping that Hillary can withstand the Trump hate engine and pull a win off.
The largest concern I have for her are the former Bernie supporters who are more concerned about getting a non establishment candidate into office than anything else. It's mind boggling, but I've seen Bernie supporters say they'll vote Trump over Hillary. Hell, in my book, even a vote for Green Party is a vote for Trump at this point.
Well, when your condescending towards your opponents voters, shit like that can happen. I honestly think Trump will steamroll over Clinton. Bernie added a lot of ammo to the gun for Trump to use against her.
I wonder how much better he would have done had he gone negative sooner.
That's how he started, he didn't really make gains until he went on the attack. Which will make it harder for Hillary in the general. If he had actually put pressure on the emails, Benghazi and all the shit Trump is going to attack her on, he would have been in a better place IMO.
Trumps gonna hit hard on the emails+fbi, on her role doing nothing for the economy in the past 8 years, disastrous foreign policy libya/syria/isis etc, bernie had the kid gloves on.
steamroll over clinton, lol
the world hasn't been handling hillary with kid gloves for longer than most bernie supporters have been alive. She'll alright
If it's Hillary vs. Trump, Hillary's going to get 50 states. There has never been a person with unfavorables as high as Trump, and he's definitely the one candidate that America doesn't need to get to know any better.
If Trump wins the GOP, it will be a political massacre like we've never seen.
I can only hope Maroot.
50? Naw lol. Feel free to make your own, but here's Hillary with 417 electoral votes, but still losing 18 states.
