the California results will close, the earliest tabulations are from mail-ins prior to today which represent older voters who skew towards Clinton.

that said i don't think anyone was expecting even the initial returns to show such disparity and given how strong Hillary has been tonight, a dominant result in New Jersey + probably winning South Dakota & possibly Montana, states in which Bernie was supposed to easily win, it's becoming increasingly clear Hillary is finishing this primary with punishing finality.

Unless the way they voted changed (I don't think it did); Her and Obama were tied early on, not a huge gap/disparity like there is now. He also seemed to carry the younger demographics when he ran in 2008 too.

Yeah hes totally going to destroy her. Every time hes asked policy questions he gets a deer in the headlights look. Eventually he will have to outline what hes planning... more than "Make our communities richer", "Bring manufacturing jobs back"....

Unfortunately for Trump, he has a core group, and completely (and constantly), does is best to ostracize many groups of people including (but not limited to) Women, Hispanics, Muslims, and African Americans.

Hilary is going to have the backing of Obama, and Sanders, both who do well with Millennials and Independents, and of course Bill Clinton who is generally highly regarded by many Democrats. At this point Trump can't even consistently get backing consistently by Paul Ryan.

And last I checked the calendar, it is not June 7th yet, nor has the convention happened. While Sanders getting the nomination with the path needed is improbable, I am quite aware, the race is not over. So quite kindly stow it until the 8th of next month.

I was mainly mad that you were arguing against people voting their conscience in the primary, when it's safe to do so, so just fucking let them.
Esp. when you're all "yeah, you can't stop her winning". Well then, why you pushing so hard and being an arse about it. Maybe it gives you your jollies, but painting people with a BernieBros stereotype and just alienating them isn't going to get them onboard, you're really just going to create/make more, and actually sabotage your goals down the road.
I mean look at Bum, he's driving any support he might get to his causes away, because of how he's losing his shit.

But now it's risky come the general. So hold your nose and vote for Clinton. But you still don't have to like her, or act like she doesn't have some pretty damn major issues.

As for the non-Gred posts.
If he holds onto his delegates, he can push platform and policy at the convention. And while he doesn't have enough to get the nomination, his delegate/vote percentage is not some dinky little Ron Paul thing. Less than Clinton, yes, but still some serious influence. True, he's going to need to chill the rhetoric, and start pushing support and building bridges. But it's a thing that can be done without having to concede the delegates.

EDIT: Also, how things were at the precinct I was working today.
The news has turnout percentages as not great, but in my area the total votes at the end of the night was actually very high for a primary, out of the ones I've worked over the past eight years.
We very nearly ran out of DEM ballots before we closed the doors at 8pm. The ratio of DEM to REP ballots used was 4:1, if not damn near it.
Also, due to some vote by mail issues in the county, the number of provisional ballots we had to do over the day was unusually high, so expect there to be a not completely insignificant number of ballots that aren't going to show in the count until the final official results come in over the next couple weeks.

Honestly? No. I'll still write Sanders in. A Clinton vote would be a wasted vote anyway in my state, so I will vote for the guy who actually cares about the average person after their vote is cast.

Cool; If Trump wins you can say; WELL AT LEAST I DIDN'T HELP HIM. as he increases our oil production, attempts to remove the EPA, etc etc. Guess what, Vote, or don't. Either way you live with the consequences along with everyone else. Just don't use the excuse "I voted for Bernie as a Write in so its not my fault Trump was elected". If you live in a swing state and don't vote for the least damaging/person that most aligns with you, then you indirectly are electing the opposition whether you want to admit it or not.

Weird comment about Trump increasing oil production as Obama has increased oil production. And Hillary is a huge fan of fracking. Truly the environmental candidate there.

I'm glad I don't have kids. Our right wing is certifiably insane and our left wing is returning to a centrist from 20 years ago. We'll go at least another 8 years with no significant movement of value addressing climate change. All signs are pointing to us not being able to address climate change as we need to already, and we're going to push back whenever we actually start doing shit some more.
