The DNC is better at voter suppression than Jim Crow, apparently.

The only embarrassment is how many extremely vocal Bernie supporters are outright willing to cut their nose off to spite their face.

Honestly when I see Millennials played out as being immature, self entitled etc.... it quite literally is the embodiment of what I am seeing in these posts. Finding any and all excuses for why things are the way they are, and demanding that other peoples opinions are wrong etc.

I feel like I'm surrounded by children, and to be honest I'm actually embarrassed by many people around my own age group.

said it before and said it again. the critical thinking classes i took in college were the best and most important classes of my entire life, and kids should be REQUIRED to take that kind of shit coming out of high school.

The only thing more embarrassing than conspiracy voters (which are born out of disenfranchisement and voter suppression, something very few want to acknowledge) are the bloggers, pundits, and vagina-voters who ignore/dismiss direct participation and provocation of war while simultaneously believing that the "lesser of two evils" speak is enough to convince Bernie voters, which a large portion are independents, whom Hillary has effectively excluded until now.

This is an obvious pattern to anyone not on the sidelines cheerleading their teams for the past decade. You can't exclude, patronize, and disrespect minority groups until it is politically convenient to echo their causes. The LGBT, POC, immigrants, Iraqis, etc. are all conveniently part of the "progressive" cause now. Their pain is felt, we must say something "human" now.

Just look at how many shared this dumb fuckery, all very rational critical-thinkers, I'd wager:

Angela Davis is probably fucking ecstatic to be associated with a woman that goes against everything she stands for, as well as the prospect of being arrested for being an activist in the BDS movement in the near future.

You're right. I forgot being the first woman to do something was only important when it's someone you like or agree with.

Okay I'm tired of this ad hom. You talk about how no one else here has protested anything of significance in their comfortable lives. What civil rights organizations or causes have you worked for or volunteered for on a full time basis? Not attending an Occupy or BLM and saying shit is broken. What specific pieces of legislation have you ever tried to get through or overturned?

And don't count working on a campaign unless you worked in the office afterwards. I'm asking about actual governance not herding the vote.

Gred, you want to measure our humanitarian dicks based on how many phonecalls to legislatures, what my political street cred is, and etc.? Dude, I don't know why it's so hard for you to place my political ideology, unless you are trolling me and want me to suddenly expose my "Occupy naive anarchist bro" card. If you actually gave a fuck, you would just resign to the fact that I'm just a radlib who doesn't know how democracy works and start arguing validity of the issues I bring up.

Why do we have to only talk about personality differences, whether that be posters or candidates, in every political thread? Is it that difficult to comprehend that the majority of America no long wants to live in a popularity-driven society? While I think libertarians are assholes, fundamentally, I find the theme of attacking independents everywhere online a desperate attempt to grasp onto the status quo and take a phony position of moral superiority.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to enroll in some poli sci classes at HCC, so I can figure this whole thing out.

I mean, not trying to be mean here, but rather than post my fucking activism resume, it should be obvious that a dude living on the below poverty bus schedule for most his life, who posts links from radical black, radical left, and sometimes marxist/commie commentary, isn't going to have the time or the resources to waste in knocking on doors, doing phonebanks, and other traditional reformist bullshit 9-out-of-10 times(not that I'm too lazy to do it or that I'm above that). If I told you I have never volunteered in anything besides traditional community-based services (i.e. bums in soup kitchens, local radio events, etc.), would that even matter in a pissing contest? If so, then good on you.

I may agitate some with my posts, but I figure I'm filling a void that would otherwise be filled with superficial headlines anyways.

No I ask because I'm tired of you acting like if no one else has else truly understands because no one else has protested like you. No one else has been on the "front lines." My point is that for many other people, YOU haven't been on the front lines either.

Dude, I don't know why it's so hard for you to place my political ideology, unless you are trolling me and want me to suddenly expose my "Occupy naive anarchist bro" card. I do understand it, but my point isn't that I reject the legitimacy of your grievances with the world (i.e. the justification for your identification as a radical), it's that I reject the premise that the most effective (or only solution) is to tear down or revolutionize or whatever radical solution of the moment that Chomsky or Alinsky is proposing.

Is it that difficult to comprehend that the majority of America no long wants to live in a popularity-driven society?
Funny conception of majority you have.

Why do we have to only talk about personality differences, whether that be posters or candidates, in every political thread? Because as I said, it's not about attacking personalities, though you may get butthurt, it's about debating the very premise that working outside the system is a good idea.

As I said repeatedly in this thread, I'm actually much farther left than Clinton. I identify more closely to Bernie in ideology actually. But I feel that overreaching is ACTIVELY HARMFUL to progress. And that's a view I developed from experience. From doing work to advance the rights and station of the marginalized. When I say that sometimes we have to shut up and accept a shitty reality in order to avoid creating an actively worse one, it's because I've seen what happens to government (and what that does to people) when we lose the election. So I don't believe in letting the ideal get in the way of the practical.

Justice doesn't triumph in the end "just because."

You can usually identify the Bernie Bros easily on social media or Reddit. They're the ones who call you a Hillary supporter if you point out that there's no longer a conceivable path to win.

I might feel different if we won California, but we didn't. Unless the uncounted ballots skew heavily in his favor he doesn't have much of an argument. At this point even Hillary polling horribly isn't going to help.

I haven't checked how the percentages compare to the margin spread, but there are a LOT of provisional and last minute turn-in VBM ballots to process. There was even a segment on the local morning news about the situation.

Last I checked Hilary had a 430k~ (438537) vote lead. I believe the most votes expected to be outstanding is 1 million. It is possible he could take Cali. However most VBM went 10~ points in Clinton's favor. The counties/areas with the highest populations on day of voting also skewed in Clintons favor by 10-20 points, so it is not expected that provisional in those areas to be dramatically different than the non-provisional ballots.

Basically, its possible, but highly unlikely. To be perfectly honest it won't really matter either way. The delegate math won't change either way, and it takes Cali forever to finalize its votes (30~ days).
