There's a lot of stuff out there folks put on Hillary just because she's Hillary; this really isn't one of them, and folks ignoring that are on the wrong end of Cried Wolf Syndrome. This actually is that bad. She actually is that wrong. I've been pretty supportive of Hillary to this point, and I'll still be voting for her over Trump if it's close at all in my state. But folks downplaying how big a deal this is very obviously don't work with classified or nearclassified materials. There is no exaggeration when such folks say they'd have been in jail *LONG* ago for the same things she's done, military or civilian.
Holy shit you know you aren't crazy when Maroo agrees she's shitty.
Actually, if you have paid attention to the proceedings on the email servers at all, you would know that the state department prior to and after Clinton didn't have that great of cybersecurity around their communications. One of the reasons the server was even set up was because of concerns around the security of the state dept email system.
Condi and Colin would be indicted under your view of the world as well.
I am not saying that politically it was a great idea, or that Clinton should have done it.
Unless I missed it somewhere Clinton having legit security concerns over the state department has never been actually shown. One of the released emails from a couple weeks did absolutely show that she was wanted to control who had the ability to read her emails, because fulfilling FOIA requests is obviously for the peasant class.
Speaking of Clinton and the Secret Service, do you guys remember her saying that there's no way her email server was breached because it was guarded by the Secret Service? This lady wants the nuclear codes, and she thinks you need physical access to a machine connected to the internet to steal data. She was handling Secret and Top Secret materials, and doesn't even have a rudimentary understanding of the technology of the current era. And somehow she has the testicular fortitude to claim she's the most qualified ever to be president. It'd be fucking hilarious if it weren't so sad and pathetic.
Benghazi can't melt email server beams.
I'm impressed by the quality of BG posters. They are not only distinguished political scientists who know demographics and polling statistic mathematics better than Nate Silver, but are also titans of jurisprudence who know the legal precedent surrounding the Espionage Act better than a former AG and current director of the FBI.
there's no crying wolf here. She fucked up, she should have known better(rather, she should be surrounding herself with people that know better, but that's still on her). My secondary point was just that, sure, she may have gotten off easy because of this that and the other, but your average person(this thread's participants included) is only as upset about this as they are because of the very same this that and the other. We know others have done it, and they're not even under investigation, much less narrowly evading prosecution. Where's the outrage?
there's an embarrassing amount of exaggeration going on in here. Idk what the fuck to say if yall can't see that. Like equating one's understanding of cybersecurity with the knowhow to prudently carry nuclear codes? lol? She has zero professionalism? it's either rampant shitposting or zero capacity for critical thought in the face of personal biases. Neither's cool
