Sanders endorsed Clinton today. Meanwhile things are gearing up for the RNC. Trumps says he'll announce his VP by the end of the week. Supposedly it's down to a handful of people -- Christie, Lt. Gen. Flynn, Pence, and Gingrich are the big names being floated. Hard to see any of those besides Pence being non-disastrous picks but whatever, it's not like the rest of his campaign so far suggests this will be any different.

This popped up on my feed. I've already seen one bernie supporters go for Gary Johnson after this inevitable endorsement.

But none of these initiatives will happen if we do not elect a Democratic president in November. None! In fact, we will go backward. We must elect the Democratic nominee in November and progressive Democrats up and down the ballot so that we ensure that these policy commitments can advance.

Honestly, I think it would be because of chemistry between the two rather than any strategic pick. Plus Trump can pick up all of Gingrich's moneymaking schemes for after he loses the election and gets relegated to talk radio.

And in other news Evan Bayh is jumping into the senate race in Indiana, changing the seat from safely Republican to up in the air. Former governor and senator, so he's got the name recognition and money to do it.
