Well, for all those years of governing 'experience' she has no major legislation or accomplishments to her name. As Head of the state department, she has the shitfest that is Libya, including what happened at Benghazi, and she has the Russian Overcharge policy that went nowhere and made here look ridiculous when she presented that stupid button. The Clinton Foundation also has a lot of donations taken from foreign countries, who shortly thereafter had huge favors granted by the State Department, which isn't shady at all.

Let's not kid ourselves; the whole sum of Hillary's experience is to make her richer and more powerful, and if she can make some people believe she's here to help them, then more power to her.

Legacy is motivation. Motivation doesn't alter what one's point of view regarding what would be a great legacy. Case in point: Republicans and Democrats have vastly different takes as to whether Obama leaves behind a great or poor legacy.

My point is that Hillary's end game is to be remembered as great in the history books (at least as, if not more, great than her husband). She knows that her best shot at that is to be remembered as a champion for the average person, not as a champion for Wall St. So for all the criticism people levy at her, it bears keeping in mind that everything until now was just build up to get herself into this position.

On the other hand, if Democrats fail to recapture Congress, that could lead her to move to the right on some issues in an attempt to actually pass some of her agenda.

After seeing the first night of the convention, I believe even moreso than before that anything short of a crushing defeat for Republicans will simply entrench them further against allowing Hillary to do anything. On top of that, I still think we have a looming constitutional crisis in the future of the Supreme Court because of the precedent set by Republicans now with Garland. The only way this situation gets unfucked is if Republicans lose so badly that they are forced to change instead of being allowed to hold onto enough power to blow up the functionality of government out of spite.

She's done what she's done up until now for herself and hers, changed positions when it suited her needs, and used the same power to get away with things others wouldn't be able to. To think you know what she wants to do, or is willing to concede to get what she wants to do, is ludicrous. She's not evil by any means, I just expect her to make policy decisions I don't agree with to maybe pass something I do, assuming the GOP doesn't renege on any promises. Her decisions when she actually had real power leave me wanting more, but not every one is perfect and I hope she learned from her mistakes.
