Well this thing in Munich seems to have sucked the wind out of the news cycle for now. VA is still a swing state just not as sexy as OH, PA, FL. and the one demographic Hill needs help with is white men. Dems also won't lose a senate seat since VA has a Dem Gov. Sherrod Brown would have been sexy but that's a forfeited senate seat. Tom Perez is brilliant and politically savvy but his name carries even less weight than Kaine's. Warren was never going to happen. I don't even remember who else was on the short list. This also leaves the Castro bros free to keep thriving as she needs no help with the Latino vote.

I'm hoping Tom Perez gets AG. He has to be in the cabinet.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the VP pick. The guy has some views I don't agree with but I might be in the minority here in not wanting a hyper partisan ticket. I could be wrong, but I feel like such a pairing would only make the republicans in congress stick to their current philosophy of, "Whaa, my way or nothing at all."
