Gred hit it pretty much. Fixed angle cam in focus + good microphone. Cell phone microphone is usually garbage, especially if you're filming with said device. If not doing any editing, have someone operate the cam controls so you aren't reaching for the record button when you start/finish filming. If doing editing, jump cuts will help control the flow/pace of your video or kill any 5 second dead air pauses.

Excellent advice, thank you everyone.

And before I forget, one piece of filming advice. Avoid lights behind you/focal subject. It will create a shadow on your face that looks terrible. A light source behind the camera will make the subject focus better. Not going to get into soft boxes and light temperatures since that's entering realms of amateur filming.

the Bern-or-bust DNC protesters may receive all the attention this week with media cameras on them, but it appears the vast majority of the party is falling into line behind Hillary following Sanders's endorsement and the crystallization of a binary race. according to a Pew poll 88%-90% of people who backed Bernie during the primary say they will support Clinton in the general.

Pew Research has been polling on the 2016 campaign for months, allowing it to track attitudes among voters over time. Nearly half of the Democratic electorate, 44 percent, changed their preference over the course of the three surveys Pew conducted. About 3 in 10 supported Clinton, wire-to-wire; about 20 percent Sanders.

Pew asked those consistent Sanders supporters whom they support in the general election. Ninety percent said they back Hillary Clinton.

I just stumbled on a fb post that had in the comments "I think I'd vomit if I tried to write Hillary"

my main question with that poll is if their numbers are reflected in the recent post-convention bump of trump. if they are, that seems like a problem
