I can't believe people are seriously griping about Lewinsky. You know the Hillary character assassin went off scary well if people are going to jump to that to hate on the Clintons.

Bill Clinton was basically prosecuted in the media for infidelity, which is a problematic behavior from a national security standpoint.

The current Lewinsky scandal angle that would resonate with the perma-outraged democratic base would be more the abuse of power inherent in the most powerful man in our government enlisting the aid of an aide to get his dick wet. Republicans typically don't present it this way because it doesn't resonate with their own base, however.

Except he's not. The missing emails in question would have been deleted and were on a server that's no longer in use. Any country that would release those emails means they already had them, which also means that they had access to the classified information contained within said server.

at best he's encouraging a nation that is arguably our greatest geopolitical adversary to continue to interfere in our domestic politics for their own gain. at worst he is actively calling on them to engage in espionage against an American target. the wording "I hope you’re able to find" is ambiguous, the inappropriateness of either notion and further evidence that his patriotism is a masquerade under which a base egoism lays is not.

Our only hope is that Gary Johnson siphons off voters. The people who are saying they're voting for Trump are likely never going to switch to Hillary. Gary is trying to bill himself as the only sane candidate and honestly its working with a lot of people who I know normally vote republican.

You should watch Samantha Bee's last two episodes to give you an idea how hopeless of an idea it is to convince people already set on voting Trump.

Johnson is pulling evenly from both Clinton and Trump for the most part, the only exception I can think of off the top of my head is Utah, where he is clearly pulling in a large amount of potential Trump voters.

Yeah, I would think old school republicans heads are spinning about Trump being buddies with Russia.

Also, I'm still laughing at Hannity and Tucker calling Bernie a lapdog, but they also gave Cruz hell for not being a lapdog.
