i will say whichever scheduling coordinator for the Dems got this convention to launch the week after the rhinos should be given a raise, the juxtaposition of charismatic and enthusiastic party leadership versus Scott Baios blood relatives and 2020 rivals is stark. Hillary still has to bring it home but the convention bounce that got Trump to parity should be stamped out within a week.

And those are just the opening acts. They (plus Chelsea tomorrow who I'm sure is going to just crush it) have setup an incredibly bright spotlight and moment for Hillary tomorrow. Hillary can't just hit a homer with her speech tomorrow, she's been setup to hit multiple grandslams. She better not fuck it up lol

It's just not her strong point. Expect her to give a serviceable speech, probably around the same quality as Kaine's or Warren's.

Some of the best and most memorable speeches of the conventions are from non-nominees. Clinton in 12. Barrack in 04. Could go back to Ted Kennedy in 1980.
