After speaking at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines on Monday morning, Walker told a reporter that he supported ending birthright citizenship -- another tenet of Trump's recently unveiled immigration plan.

Boy I hope this includes ALL people born in this country, make everyone have to go through the citizenship process.

Cool, I read election speculation articles, too. Is Nate the best at it? Possibly. But, as with the previous article that made the case for Hilary "I wanna erase Iran from the Earth" liberal, it's still an opinion piece; poll science isn't too reliable when you don't live in a static environment. Scoffing at Hilary's major favorability problem and her lack of fucks given about what the reflection is to the public when she unflinchingly gobbles money up from wallstreet (i.e. the Dark Money that she just recently accepted+denounced lol) is not something to be proud about.

Most of the journalists I read are following her present campaign and polling data closely, not adding footnotes about its significance, and what I gather right now is that they don't know if Hilary can even win if Biden throws his hat in at this point. The distance between Hilldog and the common fowl widens each week, Bernie's grows in every category. Can he beat her on his own? Who the fuck knows, let's see if he can take Iowa, then I'll really start chugging the koolaid. I'm a realist, I know he's not winning shit at the current rate, but that's assuming he's peaked while he's filling more stadiums.

I tried to do some research on what Sanders intends to do if he were to become President but all I find is issues. His website only describes problems and not solutions, same as any rhetoric from him I can find.

Anyone have any resources on his actual concrete solutions? Or does he not have any?

That video with Bernie was really great. I think I was especially fond of how he politely told him to fuck off with his racism nonsense. We don't need programs specifically for helping disadvantaged black people. We need programs that help disadvantaged people; there's a lot more of them than just blacks. If things are still fucked up for black people after we work on programs to improve everyone's quality of life, maybe then we can discuss the need for race-specific programs.

It's hilarious watching people theorize about the reasons for Trump's support and be so absolutely wrong.

There is a HUGE chunk of the American population that some people are just absurdly out of touch with.

I don't so much theorize, rather I simply talk to people on why they are so interested in the man. It's not a shining example of metrics, but people are in general real about how they feel about voting for thier candidates. It's more than illegal immigration, though it is a big reason as well (and a hell of a platform for Trump to use). Like I said before, people want to believe in someone who will come with actual change, rather than the status quo. In this, they don't mind hanging onto some populist rhetoric for a while. It's the reason why Trump and Sanders (and Obama for a short while in 07~08) are doing so well.

Also, Rand Paul was a fool to go after Trump instead of Bush and the establishment candidates. What an absurd political blunder. Absurd because it was such an obvious mistake that he should have easily avoided. Whoever is advising him is a fool.

I will agree with you on this, but at the same time Rand Paul knew he wasn't going to win. He wanted to be the only person to take a pot shot at Trump, rather than be a part of the field too scared to engage with the man, lest he run as an Independent. We can't act like every other candidate and the RNC didn't feel this way going into the FOX debate.

Trump has the entire GOPs collective balls in a vice and none of them can do shit about it, lol.

This trump-obsession is silly.

As Republican nominees drop out of the race, do you really see a lot of people going, "Well, now that Santorum's out, I guess I support Trump." Or, "Well, Perry was my number one guy, but Trump was a close second." Because I sure as hell don't.

I see a lot of casual folks jumping on Trump for amusement factor, I see some Tea Party folks jumping on the Trump train because he's anti-establishment... but I see basically everyone else vehemently disliking Trump, and going with one of the establishment-- ANY establishment-- candidates, and their support coalescing to Jeb, or Walker, or Rubio.

This kind of thing isn't new, it isn't startling, and it isn't going to have an impact on anything unless Trump does run as an independent, which I really think is his goal, anyway. Not so much to win the Presidency, but to take the Presidency from the Republicans.
