yeah no idea why anyone would think that.

i've long thought that once the big guns came out to stump post DNC (bill, joe, obama) and given trump's propensity to shit out of his mouth it would all hit critical mass soon enough. but it's been even better than expected with this khan stuff that trump has somehow managed to drag out for nearly a week, making him look like exactly the person he is and causing a ton of mainstream republicans to openly revolt.

imo this isn't even scratching the surface and it's gonna get really really bad for him in the not too near future once the GOP dissent starts really snowballing.

This is actually pretty much what I meant. I expected him to doom himself, but I didn't think it would be such an open failure.

I think most repubs were looking for a way out while still acting like they weren't splitting the party. Khan was the exact scapegoat they needed considering how promilitary republican voters are.

Now that we have two congresspeople openly switching to Hillary, I expect the flood to start rolling in.

Top republican: @Reince is 'apoplectic' over Trump's refusal to back Ryan. He called several Trump staffers to express his displeasure.

More from same source: The next 24 to 72 hours are crucial. There is serious talk about key Republicans coming out hard against Trump.

The interesting thing is if they mean people like Ryan, McCain, and Kasich or possibly swing state senators like Kelly Ayotte or Mark Kirk.
