I know shes not running, but damn I love this woman.

Also supposedly Hillary is announcing her presidential campaign on Sunday.
Rubio supposedly is going to announce sometime next week as well.
Rubio has an even less chance of winning than Ted Cruz. Jesus.
At least the GOP has diversity... at this point it looks like the Dems have parted the blue seas of the DNC for Hilary to walk straight to her nomination.
Dems haven't had 3 straight terms in the office since FDR Truman did a total of 5. Right now with the gop clusterfuck I can't see them losing.
In the 90's when the Dems had become too leftist to be nationally viable Clinton came in and was able to get the party to readjust to the center. Unfortunately for the GOP, half of their base seems to be dead set against letting Jeb or Rand do that.
And unfortunately for all of us, when the Dems went extreme they didn't become obstructionist in Congress to abuse minority powers.

You're underestimating how screwed up our politics are and how much money GOP donors are willing to flood the system to win in 2016. I'd still put my money on Hillary winning just because she has such a huge advantage, but I would not be shocked at all if somehow the GOP pulled off a presidential win if the right conditions form in the general election.
I really want to like Rand because at least in theory he was willing to go against some of the establishment policies that are problematic but entrenched, but he's so bad at explaining himself and so afraid to go up against the establishment in the primary that I've lost all hope of him being a sane candidate. Jeb is the only candidate on the right that I can look at and say "Okay, he holds a lot of positions that I disagree with but at least he wouldn't be a complete disaster as president." Unfortunately, any republican president + the current Congress would still end up screwing the country over either by getting us into another expensive, long-term war or setting us up for another recession through fiscal irresponsibility. In the 90's when the Dems had become too leftist to be nationally viable Clinton came in and was able to get the party to readjust to the center. Unfortunately for the GOP, half of their base seems to be dead set against letting Jeb or Rand do that.
Despite large segments of the base not wanting Jeb to be the nominee, I think there's still enough money in the business and what's left of the moderate wings of the party to ensure that Jeb (or possibly Rubio) survive. Anyone else will get absolutely crushed in the general.
I don't think they will be able to put in enough money to overcome the type of crackpot candidates the gop keeps pushing forward. Someone from the Obama administration said that they were most afraid of Jon Huntsman in 2012, and of course he was the first person out of the running because he was the most sane.
I think it will be closer than everyone thinks because the turnout numbers are going to plummet again this election and there is even less of difference between the two candidates than before. Attack ads will be the determining factor and boy does the GOP know how to pluck those strands of hate. Bonus points for being vs an old hag.
I love plutocracy.
It's not a midterm, so they'll go up from the last election. Probably still lower than either of Obama's elections though.
Yeah no turnout is gonna be way up from the last one.
It's still the first woman for president. Love her or hate her, people are going to turn out.
As much as I'd love to see a woman president, I just don't want it to be Hilary.
Why not?
I wouldn't mind Hillary as president at all. BUT I do agree that I think if she is the front runner, the race is going to be scary close.
I have to watch a lot of faux news, and let me tell you, the moment Obama took office the first term, they have been trying to dismantle her with everything they've got. I think anyone who watches that channel for any length of time is going to have a pretty negative view of her, regardless of how moderate the viewer is.
The best bet is that she runs against Jeb. So at least the "no more legacies" defense can't be made.
