most folks are predicting that House leadership will decide to "prove" to the House Freedom Caucus that they cannot enact even a short-term CR (the highly likely outcome this month, people think, saving "the real" funding fight for the end of the year) that eliminates Planned Parenthood funding...so they're thinking they'll have to go thru a short (people think 10/2-105 or so) gov't shut-down to prove it...

Boehner needs to grow a backbone and start bringing the hammer down on the crazy in his party. He couldn't even punish Mark Meadows for openly defying him and basically plotting to overthrow him as Speaker. Maybe they continue to get away with this nonsense, maybe it backfires and they end up having squandered away their decade in power in Congress getting almost nothing constructive accomplished.
