I don't follow sports nearly as closely as those here, but general consensus in Detroit was Suh is well liked and respected within the team. Outside the team is obviously a different thing. I'll be bummed if he does leave Detroit.

Harvin had well documented issues before they traded for him. They only got rid of him after realizing he wouldn't have the offensive impact they hoped he would.

From the fighting with Baldwin and Wilson, inability to work with the offensive coordinator, and rift he put in the team (people got tired of his shit, but after the trade Lynch was so upset at the loss of Harvin that he wouldn't even get on the bus) he might have just been traded anyway. He is a great player, but his lack of offensive impact was from injuries, and an inability to work him into the team and not because he isn't great which is why they acquired him anyway. They had to make plays just for him to try and work him into the offense.

Right. My point is that they knew he was a difficult asshole and traded for him anyway because of his talent.

I don't see them (or anyone really) not going after Suh just because of his reputation. The monster contract will be the sticking point.
