my favorite trick so far though is using Heel when I'm frozen on Five-Headed Dragon (which is rare, but it does happen). Selene don't care about no freeze, either. she spam heals me until I break free, which is nice because the other healer often forgets to notice that I'm, you know, DYING.
I've also discovered an advantage to dual-SCH parties: dual fairies. Seems obvious, but with two fairies instead of one I can feel a lot more confident DPSing, knowing that they will cover most of the healing. I used to break out of Cleric's constantly for every little hit, but I am slowly getting used to letting Selene heal AoEs that aren't too nasty, especially if I know the fight well enough to know there's nothing bad coming up. I only have to break out of Cleric's for ohshit emergencies now. I used to love the SCH/WHM combo, and I still do, but only if the WHM knows his place is to main heal and mine is backup healing with a focus on DPS.
don't get me wrong; SCH is primarily a healer job. I'm not saying it's a DPS job. I'm simply saying that, all heals being covered, SCH is the better choice to spend extra time/MP/cooldowns on DPS. and... yeah, I'm rambling again aren't I?
