Semi-newbish question; Did they say in one of the recent interviews or live letters or etc that old content (like Coil or EX primals for example) would be accessible in parties less than 8? And that level sync wouldn't be applied if the party was smaller?
My friends and I are relatively casual players (Out of the 4 of us, I'm the only one who has actually done any Coil/Extremes) and the thought of trying to 4-man all the current endgame stuff at level 60 seemed really appealing. None of us really care for top-end gear, we just want to experience it to a certain extent and have glamour gear and etc
Didn't sound like it's for just old content. Will be able to enter any content with less than the full 4/8, have the option to level sync, item level sync or an apparently "challenge mode" where it syncs your items down the low end for that dungeon to make it tuned to the level they initially designed it for. Obviously you wont get EXP but they did specifically mention being able to farm glamour and zodiac drops by doing it uncapped, so it doesn't give up all of the rewards or anything from the sounds of things.
It's only for ARR content (Heavensward content is specifically excluded) and from the sounds of the translations, it might not even be available for all of the ARR content at launch.

Entering a dungeon with fewer than the required number of players is done simply by having the party leader select a new option in DF. You won't be able to replenish roles, and there will be no level sync. This feature is available for most ARR content, but not Heavensward content. The plan is to make it available for more content in future updates.Code:(Yes it says that. 「レベルシンクもかからないものになります。」)
Welp, there goes one of the things I was most excited about in the expansion. Such a dumb fucking design decision and I thought they had finally realized it. Just let me fucking solo or duo shit if I want to, god damn.
Yea I agree, I think what I want the most out of this game right now is to be able to queue for content with fewer than 8/24. I'd have so much more to do in this game if I could just grab whichever friends are on and then go farm glamour gear, ponies, lowman CT, and other miscellaneous stuff.
RIPI was hoping for the same. Way to let us down, SE ;w;
Welp, while you're all upset about it, I'm satisfied lol
Just hit BSM50 and I'm wondering what to do to make some money to get better gear to make more money etc etc... I have most other crafting professions at at least 15 with CUL being 50 as well. I bought a full set of i55 gear and got my blue wep. for BSM but it seems like working on a supra would be fairly expensive at the moment. I have an i100 DoW class but I feel like doing PvE stuff is not super helpful at the moment.
How can I best spend my time with DoH classes until HW comes out and what are the predictions for how being a Doh will work in HW? For instance will having everything at 60 be as beneficial or will it maybe be more likely that focusing on maybe a single Doh class will be more effective?
Sorry typing this shit out on my phone
I can't imagine a world where level 50 crossclass skills on DoH won't be revelant unless the number of skills we can acces at 50 gets nerfed. That being said, Byregot's Blessing (CRP) and Piece by piece (ARM) can be pretty important rotation-wise while all the others (Innovation, Reclaim, etc) are great bonuses.
As far as money goes, you can make a few hundred thousand gil every day selling your echatl sealants from the ixali quests. After that, BSM glamour prisms and furniture are actually a huge source of low effort revenue. Finally, spiritbonding items made from your BSM (and better yet, crafting gear from WVR) is another good source of money. Remember that HQ and materia melds(buy cheap materia or farm your own) make spiritbonding really easy.
All that should get you plenty of money per day for your BSM gear or save up until the expansion.
Sorry if this is the wrong thread or stupid question:
I got BLM to 50, and found hey - I still can't stand playing a ranged. So I spoke with the people I'll likely be raiding with in HW, and now I'm likely going PLD/WAR.
So - given the instant queue status - is it quicker to simply dungeon grind? I know it'll at least reward better gear (and well. more gear = killing things faster). Or is it better to FATE grind? I'm trying to save my leves for leveling professions, but I've done a few on whichever happened to be lagging behind in terms of experience (mostly so they don't cap out) - I'm admittedly at a limited amount of play time simply because of work being in some overtime right now.
Thanks!
Dungeon grind is definitely the fastest.
Just do all your guildhest as they pop up, daily low level and daily guildhest + some dungeons + fates + Hunting Log and you will be 50 in like 2-3 days.
My lv50 ninja class quest gave me 2 body pieces, and i50 and i90. Is the i50 used for something or just obsolete from the beginning?
