you want to level every craft to 15 to get the first group of cross class skills and eventually most things to 50 for the 2nd set.

Which one do you think it is Rocl? lol

Best way to make Gil? Pm me if you don't want to share.![]()
It will involve a crafting class and some market research. Some typical hustles are making glamour prisms or gathering an easy material that is selling high. You can also get your retainers to battle class level 60, gear them out and have them bring back materials that sell pretty high as well (2x per hour of like 10x per mat)
This fishing system is fun. Seems pointless at this point.
The motto for fishing goes something like this:
Fish rare first and sell so other people can level up their fishing.
Level cooking with fishing at the same time, and when you unlock desynth just desynth all the fish you catch (except those you use for leve turnins)
Rare fish?
Unless you don't want to have one of your 3 desynth skills be cooking. You can max out only 3 of them. Currently there's nothing very profitable from cooking desynth, but that might change in the next patches.
Here's a good fishing website that shows you where each fish is located and which bait and weather conditions will catch it: http://en.ff14angler.com/
Some "rare" fish (have certain conditions for being able to catch them) require a certain amount of Gathering skill. So you won't be able to catch all of them right away.
Fantastic. Thanks!
Glamours question. Can I cast a glamour, change the color of the item projected, and then glamour it onto something else as a new color?
Once you've glamoured something, you could send that piece of gear into the shredder and it still wouldn't change anything about your earlier glamour, so yes. Dye the old item all you want.
Also, if you prefer, you can actually dye the item AFTER you've set the glamour, if you ever just want to change the color of an existing glamour.
Oh sweet. Thanks.
Cooking desynth can yield IV materia at a decent pace (5-10%) and since they come from fish you can amass a ton of materia in a short period of time. Even the bad IVs sell for 10k and some of the fish are common with blue scrip bait. The IV fish also yield Gold and Platinum coins for added gil.
Long story short cooking desynth has been very good to me since HW.
Retainers are also very good (any class really) with all of them being able to net you 10-20k an hour. It doesn't sound like much but with the gil sinks being so small it adds up fast.
I was thinking more about how other desynths are generally better overall (I believe GSM is usually the king) and how current cooking desynth is a far cry from what it used to be when swimsuits and waterproof cotton were making 1m+ each. Now cooking desyn mainly has Assassin Fry as a high price item (which should pick up for 3.1 when everyone is buying up minions). Also not really that great unless you do a ton of fishing. If you're a fan of fishing then CUL is probably one of the best desyn you could take because you've always got free raw materials to work with.
I'll get my Gf to level cooking. Now I just need a way to fish more. She was excited to hear about cooking, I said its wack. Lol.
I'm a man, I'll do smithing or lrarhercraft.![]()
if you want to do crafting you should probably level them all (for the cross class skills), up to 50 at least anyway
