I actually like the TV series. I thought it added a lot to the lore of it all. All movies after the original sucked.

However this reboot likely won't include Queen, and this saddens me.

At least the accents might be better in a reboot? Then again, I grew quite attached to Lambert's ridiculous Tommy Wiseau accent and Connery's totally believable Egyptian brogue.

Sadly, they didn't team up in the final movie. There was one more after Highlander: Endgame. But its so bad, I dare not speak of it.

The original cut of the second movie had Conner and his mentor, Ramírez (played by Sean Connery) originally from another planet. Later cuts had this retconned out, and had those events take place in Earths past.
