    LOL

Wells admitted in front of the national media that he used the phrase `more probable than not` because that's `what the league wanted.`

    Nice independent investigation.

The nfl wanted him to use legalese? Much drama. So conspiracy.

Please tell me he said "fuck tom", it would make my day. Also, I'm reading the conference call notes. I don't see anywhere where he made a fool of himself.

I guess you didn't read the transcript and did your normal copy pasta from some super unbiased source connected to boston sports. Here's the quote.

Wells: "I believe the conclusions have been proven. I used the words 'more probable than not' because that is what's in the rules."
In other words, Wells wanted to just say "guilty", but the league actually wanted him to tone it down. Context, as usual, has flown above your head.

Finebaum led an 85 year old man into saying "embarassing". Oh btw, he didn't supply the full quote.

Finebaum: "And certainly, discipline and off-field issues have always been out there and not to go back there to something close to you, but Jameis Winston was, many people felt like he was an embarrassment to your great university, Florida State. He won the Heisman, won a National Championship, he was the No.1 player chosen, but the controversy never seemed to leave him, including on the night when he was selected, he was sitting there in Bessmer Alabama on one of the greatest nights of his life and uh, he flashes the crab legs, and uh, what are your thoughts on Jameis Winston?

Bowden: (laughing) Well, I think it's a consensus among Florid State fans, and boosters that he was an embarrassment in a lot of ways to the university. He won a lot of ball games, probably one of the best football players that ever attended Florida State, but he hurt himself off the field. The good news is that he's young enough to get over that, ya know it, and he's gotta do that. He just can't make those junior high school decisions that he made while he was in college.

If you go from the original quote to watching a clip (like here), it comes across more than a little leading. I mean, yes, Bowden didn't jump up to defend him, but it's not like the question was "now that he's no longer on your team, what are your thoughts on Winston?"

Eh, I'll defend Jameis when needed and jab him when needed. I think I've been pretty even handed about him.

As for what Bowden said, I can promise you that while there are some fans and boosters that thought some of his actions were embarrassing (the crab legs and FHRITP, mostly), but for majority of the fans it is much ado about nothing.

    Brady just hired Jeffrey Kessler.

Calling out the fucking big guns.

Too early to count out Touchdown Tom.

You know what's hilarious? Even if Bardy gets the suspension reversed, unless I'm mistaken, the Pats can't appeal the other penalties. I imagine those draft picks are a far bigger deal than Brady* missing four games.

Here are snippets from Kessler's war chest:

McNeil, et al. v. NFL, et al. - Won jury verdict for NFL players striking down free agency restrictions under the antitrust laws. This victory led to the Reggie White class action, in which the free agency/salary cap system in the NFL was negotiated.
Brady v. NFL - Successfully represented a class of NFL players in an antitrust action which led to the end of the 2011 NFL lockout.
Players Inc. v. Gridiron and Athletes First - Successfully prosecuted two frontier IP litigations challenging the group use of NFL player images on websites.
City of Oakland and Alameda County, et al. v. Oakland Raiders - Obtained summary judgment on behalf of City of Oakland and Alameda County requiring Raiders to honor the team's stadium lease and remain in Oakland.
NBA and NFL arbitrations - Represented the players associations in numerous arbitrations involving player free agency rights, circumvention claims, collusion claims, and salary caps.
North American Soccer League, et al. v. NFL- Successfully represented North American Soccer League in antitrust case striking down NFL ownership rules.
Guidry, et al. v. AFL, et al. - Successfully represented class of AFL players in antitrust case which established free agency in the AFL.
Belichick v. NFL, et al. - Represented NFL Head Coach in litigation over changing teams.
NFLPA v. NFL - Successfully represented NFLPA in challenge to pro

All of the anti-Patriot owners should be nervous right now. They way overplayed their hand here and now they may very well pay a heavy price.
It sounds like Kraft is all in behind Brady going scorched Earth. It doesn't look like Tom is just going after his suspension. It looks like he's assembling a legal team to bring Roger Goodell to his fucking knees.

YOU FOOLS! WHEN WILL YOU LEARN

    NEVER COUNT OUT TOUCHDOWN TOM

I think you're mistaken. I thought the same thing earlier but I was reading some articles that made it sound like Kraft can go nuclear and fight the penalties. All indication on the local front says the Patriots are planning to go to war here
