someone explain to me why the current patriots as NL refers to them are a dynasty-esque team if they've won one super bowl in the past 10 years. congrats on losing 2 Super Bowls, winning one, and making the afc championship a few times in that stretch. so has peyton manning.

Why do you just arbitrarily make it a 10 year window? Has any team had even remotely the same success as the Patriots since the dawn of the Brady/Belichick era in New England?

3 Superbowls. The 2006 AFC Championship game with a bare-bones football team. The Fuck Everybody 2007 18-1 helmet catch away from perfection. 14-2 in 2010. A Superbowl appearance in 2011. Brady and Gronk were injured for that game or it was a sure win. 2012 was dominant until we lost the AFC Championship game. 2013 was an AFC Championship appearance despite a clusterfuck offseason and more injuries than any other team in the league, by far.

Now 2014 Superbowl champions.

There hasn't been any break off from domination. No 6-10 season. No 7-10 season. No 5-11 season. Every single year the Patriots are throttling everyone and are probably going to at least be in the AFC Championship game. You mock AFC Championship appearances, and I agree that bragging about just 1 would be lame, but when you're talking about fucking nine of them, that becomes an achievement. Almost every single season, in the excitement of the NFL's final four and the road to the Superbowl, America is watching Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's Patriots compete for the opportunity.

No other team comes fucking close to the sustained success the Patriots have demonstrated since 2001.

It's so insane that people are so sick of it that they've become deranged to the point of wanting to tarnish the whole thing because a minimum wage Gillette worker took a piss before a game.

Everything about the way the NFL operates is designed to equalize the playing field and and yet the Patriots are always dominant and always in the mix.
The Patriots have had conference rivals come and go.

The Steelers were a conference rival.
The Chargers were a conference rival.
The Colts were a conference rival.
The Ravens were a conference rival.
The Broncos were a conference rival.
The Jets were a conference/division rival.

Every time a new team rises to be competitive, they become conference rivals with the Patriots…. for 14 fucking years.

They come and go and come and go, and rise and fall and rise and fall, and the Patriots always remain.

If you don't understand why that makes the Patriots uniquely fucking bad ass in NFL history then I don't know what to tell you.

Will NinjaLotter take back everything he said about Kraft after Goodell reduces Brady's suspension to zero? From what my sources tell me, the Patriots will take all the blame for those rogue employees and this will clear brady.

I guess the NFL thinks it's fans are as dumb as NinjaLotter thinks they are.

I don't know how much validity they have, but now there's rumblings in Boston media that Kraft is intending to try to talk Brady into accepting whatever punishment remains after the NFL appeal, rather than take the league to court. Brady, of course, will tell Kraft to go fuck himself.

Again, I don't know how much truth there is to this, but if it is the case, this could very well represent the end of the BB/Brady Patriots era. Tom wants to prove his innocent via whatever means necessary. Kraft wants to protect the league from all of its shitty underhanded dealings being brought to the surface.

Belichick is a guy with a passion for the history of the NFL and the game of football. I can't imagine he's too happy about all of this, and he's most likely pissed off at Kraft for siding with his billionaires boys club over his team and its fan base. If relations between Brady and Kraft have an epic meltdown, I can see Belichick also walking away, like he did with the Jets over concerns with their ownership.

If any of this happens, I'd love to see Brady go to Buffalo or Cleveland. If Brady and BB went to Cleveland together, that shit would be hot.
Buffalo with Tom Brady under center would probably make the Superbowl.
