I don't know how much validity they have, but now there's rumblings in Boston media that Kraft is intending to try to talk Brady into accepting whatever punishment remains after the NFL appeal, rather than take the league to court. Brady, of course, will tell Kraft to go fuck himself.

Again, I don't know how much truth there is to this, but if it is the case, this could very well represent the end of the BB/Brady Patriots era. Tom wants to prove his innocent via whatever means necessary. Kraft wants to protect the league from all of its shitty underhanded dealings being brought to the surface.

Belichick is a guy with a passion for the history of the NFL and the game of football. I can't imagine he's too happy about all of this, and he's most likely pissed off at Kraft for siding with his billionaires boys club over his team and its fan base. If relations between Brady and Kraft have an epic meltdown, I can see Belichick also walking away, like he did with the Jets over concerns with their ownership.

If any of this happens, I'd love to see Brady go to Buffalo or Cleveland. If Brady and BB went to Cleveland together, that shit would be hot.
Buffalo with Tom Brady under center would probably make the Superbowl.

I mean, they just successfully made footballs at 11.80~11.20 PSI, in cold, rainy weather, a national Black Sox scandal that compromises the integrity of the game. Prior to this media push, NFL fans didn't think of air pressure in football at all.

I don't know if you're just trolling or not, but if you are, I'm sort of surprised to hear you think it's cheating.

The Wells Report failed to do two things:
It failed to prove tampering actually took place, as the Ideal Gas Law theoretically explains the drop in air pressure.
It failed to prove Tom had anything to do with it if tampering did take place, which wasn't proven.

So you're taking a hypothetical, built on top of ANOTHER hypothetical, to smear someone, based purely on innuendo.

There's really only two options here regarding the Wells Report, both of which are favorable to Tom.

Either you believe Walt Anderson, in which case the Patriots are innocent because the gauge he claims he used puts the PSI numbers within the ranges explained by the Ideal Gas Law.

You don't believe Walt Anderson, in which case the Patriots are not guilty because then you don't have any reliable pre-game PSI readings.

You can't believe part of Walt Anderson's testimony and not believe another part of Walt Anderson's testimony in order to condemn someone if you want to maintain credibility.

- Does that make Tom Brady a cheater? Not really. Not unless every pitcher who ever scuffed up a baseball or every hockey player who curved their stick too much is also a cheater.
- Is the punishment for the Patriots too harsh? Probably. The fine and a 2nd or 3rd would have been fine with me. A 1st and a 4th are too much.
- Is the punishment for Tom Brady too harsh? Abso-fucking-lutely.
- Is Brady's suspension going to be reduced or completely overturned? Probably. I'd guess he ends up with one game.
- Do I find this whole spectacle completely hilarious?

The Pats, like the Spurs, have a core that keeps getting older and they keep winning games. I didn't buy any of the previous "Pats are done" stories until I watched them against KC. Thing is logic seems to dictate they will drop off a cliff at some point, and between watching the KC game and his receiving core this year I figured it might be now. But obviously I was wrong.

You've chose to ignore my serious football opinion, which I've given. You just get inflamed because it doesn't fit your narrative. The Patriots probably cheated intentionally, Tom certainly knew if they were, it's not a big deal, it's never going to court. I think that's pretty much the consensus.

My only complaint here is that if Tom is expected to be able to tell a football was at 11.60 PSI, why aren't the officials held to the same standard?

Also one last thing: 99% of NFL writers speculating on backroom deals, Kraft going nuclear, taking people to court, etc etc is just guesswork. They can pat themselves on the back if they're right, and no one cares when they're wrong.
