Eagles offered him a $1 mil per year raise on his current contract last year, then pulled it from the table this year, results in him holding out to start camps this year. Was paid I think 12th among guards, wanted top 5 money.

34y/o and coming off knee problems, but still a pro bowler last year even with missed time. Oline has been a strength for the Eagles for a few years so it sucks but idk. I find it weird no one offered anything for him

Isn’t the main reason that players want long term deals and not the franchise tag or one year deals, because they provide long term financial security/freedom and security in the event of injuries, etc?

These guys go from growing up with no money, to making a ton of money and not knowing how it was like to not have money?
