This defense. My God…this defense. Here’s a fun fact from last season: against the Bears, Tom Brady went 30-for-35 with five touchdown passes. Four of those incompletions were drops. The Bears defense is air. You can go right through it, as a ghost would a wall. They are not there. Peanut Tillman and Lance Briggs are now gone. Jared Allen is older than the classic rock he listens to, and will now be forced to play out of position in a 3-4 defense. New safety Antrel Rolle goes wherever Orbitz tells him to.

Unless in his legal appeal he files to have the suspension held till a decision is made. The question is, would Kraft tell him not to do so (since later games are arguably more important than early ones).

Also, quoting for relevance:

He said if Brady deleted texts, the NFL could claim Spoliation of Evidence. Short version, the courts can infer the meaning of the evidence against Brady and in favor of the NFL. It would basically allow one to infer that Brady deleted the texts because they contained incriminating evidence which could lead the case to be thrown out.

If the appeal pushes back the suspension I doubt we see him miss a game this season, it would likely get dragged out til the next offseason.
