So the emails released by the Patriots further solidifies the fact that this is the biggest sports-story of the 21st century, for all the reasons that it isn't being reported by ESPN.

This was a blatant attempt by Jet fans in the NFL league office, conducting themselves like drunken blue collar homers, to FRAME and DESTROY the reputation of one the NFL's very best players.

There are exclamation points and words in all CAPS, harsh attacks, repeated pleadings for action and eventually just befuddlement. And that's just the New England Patriots' side of intraleague emails that the team released Friday.

From the NFL there was mostly dismissive arrogance, if any response at all.

"I cannot comprehend how withholding the range of PSIs measured in the game is beneficial to the NFL or the Patriots," James continued. "… if we had been provided this data within days of the original report, we could have changed the narrative of this story before it led all national news and the damage was done. It has been over 4 weeks and we still can't get a simple detail that I assume was available the night of the AFC Championship Game!"

"This is just unacceptable," Glaser wrote. " … We hereby DEMAND that the misinformation included in this ESPN piece be formally and publically corrected by the League IMMEDIATELY."

What's sad is the damage is done. If this conspiracy turns out to be true people are still going to jump on the pats. Most will not read the emails, and most will never believe anything other than "pats cheat" no matter how much evidence is presented.

Tbh I don't hate the Pats at all. Tom has won me a shit ton of money, Bellicheck's press conferences are infinitely amusing, and it's one of the greatest coach/qb combos in the modern era. I like the way they go about their business as an organization for the most part as well.

It's the fans I can't stand. 90% of them are mouth breathers. They are the reason I root against the Pats. They act as though they're the greatest franchise in history. I think most would be shocked to discover the NFL has been around for more than 15 years.

That's why most people eagerly await the decline of the Pats. It's not the team, it's the fucktards rooting for them.

Fair enough, but when the media focuses so much more on the negative side of a particular team, do your not think They become something more to many viewers? I have seem a ton of haters (not on bg) that can't even articulate why they hate them except "cheaters" which is every team.
