Petty huh. I am pretty happy with this draft, three solid impact players and a QB project to oust fucking Matt Simms.

Don't insult me by mentioning ESPN rankings as a team's road map. I'm speaking strictly positions of need (defense) when I said stay the course. I would have preferred best available DT, DE, or NT before we addresses OL depth. Not to mention Chaz had a 5th and 6th round grade and we took him in the 3rd. Not that that means much to me other than perception since I am not a scout. I have been wanting a good defense for so long and really wanted to keep the foot on the pedal. I wanted Carl Davis but the Ravens nabbed him the pick before.

He went late 3rd, ESPN had him late 4th. Fine, you would have preferred a DL. As I was saying it's still not a huge reach. If the Cowboys have a good defense, it's not going to be just because of a late 3rd round pick.

It's great when needs and value align but I'd rather my team take the player they have a higher grade on. I'd also argue if the Cowboys rely so much on their OL they better have depth for the inevitable injuries.
