I believe it was acc and DA on arco
I believe it was acc and DA on arco
I know that's exactly why I orginally said I got 2 different slots 1 with the wrong prefix augment with 2 snowslits and never mentioned using leaf at all because I was specifically pointing out that I didn't and still got it
Fairly sure you're mistaken, there would be pics around at this point with all the augmenting going on showing that it's possible. Never mind that it'd be a bit of a cluster fuck with the system as is. What slot would this "2nd snow" augment take? Far more likely that you used a Leaf stone, didn't notice, and wound up with a Leaf augment.
What would a pic like that look like? It's not like tells you what stones you used with the augments you got. And I'm sure people remember some augments that were early reported that don't seem to fit but probably didn't pay much attention. And yeah like I said this is the first time I've seen it for sure (though there was some stuff I reported awhile ago on what certain stones could that was later shown wrong so that might have been the case too but I didn't document as well so doubted it until now) which is why I was surprised.
As far as mistake highly doubtful considering I hadn't had any stones in my invent for several days until I bought a stack of snowslit to use. So unless somehow a single leaf got mixed into a stack of snows I bought of the ah.... as far as slot I was able to overwrite it with some leafs I bought after that
Considering you can rarely get dim augments on slit etc, it's not that farfetched to think you could get leaf on snow etc as well.
While I trust and respect Dasva, I'm kinda leaning towards this myself.
You just probably didn't notice?
It sounds really fishy to me that you can get an off-stone augment. All the (few) ones reported so far have turned out to be people who didn't pay attention and traded the wrong stones without noticing.
Ok here's a full break down of why I highly doubt that. The last time I had random stones on me is when I stored them a week ago. Then last weekend I did a full reorganization of my invent getting almost everything but some common meds out of main invent making sure to definitely get out anything storable. The next couple of days I only did solo stuff and delve... So there was no stones in my invent. Then in prep to going to a delve as bst I brought out my full taeon and arco sets as well as full reforged af/af2 and bought a stack of snowslit to augment... so if there had been a random leaf stone it would have been at least 21 spaces away from the snowstones. So unless a leaf somehow got mixed into that stack of snow I bought I don't really see how I could have accidentally traded a leafstone
Does critical hit rate appear on any acro pieces? Not critical hit damage, but critical hit rate?
If so, what stones produce it? I need to replace some Cizin gear if CRT appears on Alluvion II gear. I want to maintain my CdC consistency and my epic critical rate with Ragnarok.
I've never seen it. Or heard any reports of it. And it's not listed for acro on any of the resources I've checked. So probably not. Unless the few who have seen it didn't care enough to record and report it(quite possible)
But in any case. The known crt rate augs for armour are in the Dusk augment slot. Which means that it's stat+ vs crt rate. For CDC I'm moderately certain that dex+10 will beat Crit rate+3%. And that's assuming no contribution from dDEX. But I haven't run that through a spreadsheet yet or anything.
On a somewhat related note. I'm noticed bad rolls are fairly commonish on Nqs but I don't think I've ever seen one on a +2. Is it even possible with a +2?
Are "bad rolls" necessarily "bad"? I mean, yeah it would suck to use a stone hoping for something useful and getting something completely unrelated, but maybe it's a good thing in some situations. Consider all of those NQ leaforbs you're forced to drop because you don't have any pet jobs and they sell for next to nothing on the AH. Instead of dropping them, there's the off chance that using them might give you a leafslit augment instead?
I realize that, yes, augmenting with a stone costs 50 obsidian shards, so it's not exactly "free," but it's the only reason I see for including bad rolls in the first place aside from wanting to mess with players' heads.
Hmmm, it's more that I'm just bad at math. Calculating ws dmg manually would be quite a trial for me. With lots of checking of formulas and much "Am I doing this right?" Setting up the variables in the spreadsheet and adding a few pieces of gear is far, far easier for me.
I just tried it out on my Red Mage spreadsheet, which while it won't be a perfect match for say, BLU, it should be close-ish.
Even if I manipulated the variables to give the Crit rate as much as an advantage as reasonably possible (main handing a Claidheamh Solais, cratio <1, dex too low for 10 DEX to affect crit rate, capped accuracy, and capped fSTR), the 10 DEX manages to match 3% crit rate for CdC.
So basically, 10 DEX will always win in any reasonable situation.
In that case, I should likely begin redoing a good deal of my PLD DD set with Alluvion armor. And just earlier today I thought I'd only need to replace whirlpool greaves. My DD and WS setups on PLD are my pride and joy, so it has to be competent with that of a decent to low-end DRK. And then I'll have to redo it all for a Sanguine Blade set.
I'll need to create a body with {ACC and ATK, Store TP, Damage Taken}. Hands with {ACC and ATK, DA, STR and DEX}. Leggings with the same as or maybe something else. That should balance the stats across pieces evenly enough so that I may swap to DT gear as needed when the situation calls.
I'd rather not rehash the difference in methodology that we fought over last year on the OF. FFXI is a discrete-valued world full of partial orderings and stats alike. Both wind up just being means to an end. We both have our preferences and methods.
Hmmm.. I didn't think I was picking a fight or anything. As for the referenced disagreement, do you have the same name on the OF? Cause I'm drawing a blank atm.
