Fuck Swift and fuck his Chaos rule, I luckily got Raubahn from him very early but I've been trying to get Ifrit from him but the games are way too damn random, I can either win 8 times during his window or just go through it with barely 1-2 wins, I'm gonna give up and try to get it via DF.

If anyone is feeling alt-venturous, I have a silly theory.

Get your first 30 cards without unlocking ANY 1-stars. Is this possible? You don't have to use the starter deck cards but I dunno if you have to beat the tutorial guy to start getting cards as duty drops. And you would have to get your first 30 without playing any actual games.

Discounting Nanamo and Cloud, that would be 30 cards exactly, relying on only the vendor, Gold booster packs and trials/dungeons. Would have to get GP some other way aside from TT though. Seems a little excessive, but if someone really hated random that much...

I Hate Rowena with my heart. But probably if T12/T13 drops the card too besides the npc the non raiders will cry till they die... And SE'll drop the pants like always...

There would be no reason to cry that they were there given that there is an alternative means to acquire them, but no one has reported getting them by now so it's unlikely.

Yeah, I know, but like most of the primals have or like gaius, you have 2 ways, the NPC, accessible for all or the instance/dungeon/trial for the non PVE/raider players. Why not with those 2?

And i dont see the problem of put things on endgame content... I want the ads mount and I'm doing the fucking shit PvP of this game. I want the Fenrir mount and I'm farming mgp like and idiot. I farmed 200trial/raid for each tank mount. Fuck, I don't even like triple triad and I'm farming all possible cards (54 at the moment). Where is the problem with coil then?

You get 15 tournament matches for the week, fighting either players or the TT members. I just did each one once and then focused on the king as he gave the most points out of all of them. Apparently fighting players with 3* decks yields the most points, so I can see this being exploited. A few values:

King win/draw/lose - 114/74/34 pts

I had 7 wins and 8 draws. I'm fucking livid that most forced a draw. Less points in the end.

If this is true then I think it will be pretty difficult to exploit. It'll instead depend on your ability to seek out the people with the highest tournament ranking and beat them. Getting the most points within that group of players will be based on luck. You would need an exceptionally large group of friends with 3* decks willing to lose in a precisely choreographed way in order to guarantee a spot at the top.

From the patch notes:

Tournament Rules

Tournament participants can only play a set number of matches per tournament, with every match played counting toward their final scores. This score will increase for every match won, with more points being awarded for defeating higher-ranked opponents. Each tournament has a fixed set of advanced rules that tournament matches must follow. This does not apply to regional rules.

In other words, the points you get for winning a match depends on the current tournament standing of your opponent. This coupled with 3* opponents yielding more points (if true) will make it incredibly difficult to exploit the tournament.

This. Even if "beating people with more wins" is a factor, it's not unexploitable considering the tournament rewards will rotate.

If anything hopefully it encourages SE to give the prize to more than the top 3 in, again, a game of mostly luck (not specifically in the games but in the whole RNG-fest of getting cards too).
